all 5 vols Finished proofread 99.9% w/o error.   all vols G fonts & H fonts done. (very Tedious work)

H fonts: I tried my best.  Only until the last vol did I think of using google to check Aramaic words--Duh!!

footnote fixing, abbrv. & verse # modification needed.  I will revise few more.

Some articles revised, edited, updated.  Knowledge of G & H helps but not necessary.  too much etymology using Arabic and Syriac to which I cannot understand.

read current and old Dictionay articles on LXX, quotations [NT use of OT], read the 

 passage(s) in commentaries that use Greek and Hebrew.  The resources here and current commentaries like WBC, NICOT, possibly those published by fortress press or anchor series could be helpful as well.  Finally, you might have to seal the deal as to why the author used LXX rather than the Hebrew in that context.  This would take serious careful study of the author's argument.

Of course this sort of goes beyond your Q on LXX but it is another step.

Other than that you will have to read your passage in commentaries that use Greek and Hebrew.

I have seen it and used a little of it until the Loyola University Library started to card all those who enter.  It is up to date using all the available research but like TDOT, probably more for the academic library.  Perhaps the local Library can get you photo copies of pages.  I own Holladay, the the shorter, cheaper abridged HALOT.   Like any dictionary/lexicon, you still need to do your own studying of the word.  Do what you can online and there are several translations that can help w. words as well as up to date commentaries (NICOT & WBC).  Yes there are ways around those expensive works so do your own work then consult those lexicons.  I would get Holladay not HALOT.

run Xp mode on Win 7 professional or Win 10. Is the only way I know.  Although I have not done and need to do it.

Oh it can be done on home 7 but MS Xp mode is from MS have to use an alternative.

When I cut and paste Hebrew from Version 11 into MS Word XP or 2000 it will not copy neatly and messes up the sentence.  So I uninstalled and went back to 10 which I cut and paste Hebrew it is nice and neat.  Therefore version 11 is not compatible with earlier MS Word programs.  Should i e-mail Rick Meyers about this?

replacing "Thou and Thee" with "you" is not copyright either.  When the copyright office wants revision you have to overhaul the work.  If this were true anyone can change a word or something else and copyright.  I have seen the NIV Bishop Lighfoot comm on epistles, which the revisers did not alter the commentary but the version in the Bible section.  ooooo! big revision!!!  I hope they did not have a nervous breakdown doing this difficult and challenging mental task.

"Most of the good materials out of copyright that can be distributed freely have already been done;"--I am guessing you mean certain popular works, because there are still a lot of quality PD wks out there.   And few standards ready for modules but no one is doing anything with it.

Gary Gallant has this "Coffman (Copyrighted: used by permission)" therefore he has it or he is lying about it.   Abilene Christian University in their so-called copyright issues must determine this so.   Years ago a now closed christian book store was selling biblesoftware for .50 (50 cents) at a sidewalk sale but the cashier wanted 50% off the list price.  I told her to go talk to the woman outside.  After this she went to the manager who said $1 for each.  The cashier sold all to me for .50 because she already entered it in.  Same thing. ACU: Oh  could you cease and desist with the online versions so we can make money.  I read from a B-Greek member that Oxford, a decade or so ago, was claiming copyrights to BDB.  Everyone is looking for nickles and dimes to feed their budget.   They are not going to get that much from coffman.  GET A LIFE ACU!  The LORD redeemed us from such substances that cause delusions.  Someone attend their worship and blow a trumpet in the auditorium.  They need a rude awakening.
