The download for the Restored King James is an exe file double click the file and it will install the bible in your e-Sword directory.

Thus says the LORD, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, (Jeremiah 9:23-24a)

"Defenders of the faith are inclined to be bitter until they learn to walk in the light of the Lord. When you have learned to walk in the light of the Lord, bitterness and contention are impossible." --Oswald Chambers, in Biblical Psychology from The Quotable Oswald Chambers.

For this particular file, it needs to be run, and then should place the Bible file in the correct location, although it seems to be hard-coded to this location C:\Program Files\e-Sword      [it did not recognise my location change to D: drive]

which might not be correct for you, especially if you are using Windows 7 64 bit [that checked-out OK]

Oops sorry for the double post, I was just checking what the installer did.

hmm, this particular bible file  downloads to my computer  as a zipped file, when i extract it it becomes a txt file which is just a page of  a some text describing the file size and I am still unable to read it. Ive tried extracting it to the e sword file but it just downloads a txt file.

It would have been helpful for you to have stated at the outset the source of the file you had issue with was not from this site.  :(  The one from this site works ok http://www.biblesupp...rsion-rnkjvexe/

Sorry, that's an anti-spam measure. After a so many days, you can post a link but very new members cannot. :(

JPG's answer above is your best bet.
