Searching for the phrase "I will" in KJV errors out in 2 Samuel 15:34 and won't list any results after that (in 2 Samuel). Here's how the verse should look:

2Sa 15:34
But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have been thy father's servant hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.

But here's the search results for that verse:

2Sa_15:34
But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have been thy father's servant hitherto, so {i will

Any thoughts?

Looks like it is matching with the italic markup tag as there is no " I will" match in reality at that point.

2Sa 15:34 But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have been thy father's servant hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.

Jon

Edit: suggest you search Case-sensitive

I tried using different KJV versions and a case sensitive search. I selected two versions as representative: There were 1897 matches for the PURE CAMBRIDGE EDITION, case, 1909 for the 1769 King James Version, in each case the verses displayed cut of in Ezekiel.
I don't know what version of e-Sword you are using, but in version 10 there is a concordance type breakdown at the end of the verses, that did appear, showing number of matches per book. Just before that chart was the following statement"
The display of search results is limited to the first 1000 verses.
In order not to run afoul of this limitation, try doing several searches but limiting th\e number of books that would avoid the 1000 verse limit.
Thus says the LORD, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, (Jeremiah 9:23-24a)

"Defenders of the faith are inclined to be bitter until they learn to walk in the light of the Lord. When you have learned to walk in the light of the Lord, bitterness and contention are impossible." --Oswald Chambers, in Biblical Psychology from The Quotable Oswald Chambers.

Or use "Regular expressions (REGEX)" instead of "search for the exact phrase" by markup trouble.

The other KJV versions have the same trouble if they use Italics in "search for the exact phrase" (the "Italic markup tag" is the problem) but the "Restored Holy Bible" has bypassed the trouble by using only grey instead of Italics.
