I'm using MS Windows 7 Pro and the latest version of e-Sword. When I try to install the Apple Converter software, it goes through the process but it's nowhere to be found. The default installation folder is the same location as e-sword itself.

Try uninstalling the converter, then delete the installer you download to install it.

After doing that do a new download of the installer for the converter and doing a new installation, make sure to give the converter it's own folder separate from e-Sword's default folder

I did what you suggested but it seems that the "converter" file will not let me change the installation directory.

It will have installed in a "Virtual Store" folder probably c:\users\<username>\Appdata\local\Virtual Store    sub-folder.

Just delete that one or uninstall. Then install again but install as "Administrator". To do this, right click on the installation .exe and select "Run as administrator". Hopefully you will find the converter in the same folder as your e-sword.exe file.
