THE
CORRUPTIONS
OF THE
NEW TESTAMENT
BY H. L. HASTINGS,
Editor of The Christian, Boston.
COPYRIGHT 1884.
H. L. Hastings, 47 Cornhill,
Scriptural Tract Repository. London
"The Corruptions of the New Testament" was written in answer to the skeptics who claim that we have a corrupted, unreliable New Testament; written in answer to those who claim that many of the books aren't what they claim to be, and that the early church didn't even accept them. Though written 130 years ago, this book is engaging, interesting, informative, and worth reading.
Among its "features" is a list of every manuscript variance in the Sermon on the Mount, which shows just how insignificant the overwhelming majority of "variants" actually are.
Hastings also takes a tour through history, referencing the early Christian writers often to show that these books were accepted and used from a very early time.
