#14778 Accessing full site and downloading modules via android

Posted by hendo1986 on 19 December 2012 - 09:49 AM

Hi,

Since the site went back online after maintainance a couple of days back, im no longer able to access biblesupport as the full site(mobile view only even after clicking full site view in the footer of any given page)on my mobile device(galaxy s plus android)Along side that whenever I try to accesss a module for download Im getting the following error:

*Parse error*: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in */home/ipboard/cache/skin_cache/cacheid_2/skin_downloads.php* on line *262*

Just wondering if the mods could help out, as I prodominantly access biblesupport via my phone and despise mobile site views.

Blessings,

Tony.

#2354 Belinda Worth Timeline

Posted by hendo1986 on 30 September 2011 - 09:24 AM

Hi all, firstly just an update, im still working on the john stevenson module among others, its taking alot longer than i expected, but it is getting done. Its not a straight forward cut and paste of text unfortunatley, it does require about 20-30mins of work per page making it look good and creating tables to replace gif's from stevenson's commentary which obviously cant be read by topx reader. I had been in contact with Bob utley re his commentary, however havnt heard back as to whether module creation would be permisable.

I recently downloaded a module entitled 'timeline' its a geaneology timeline created by Belinda Worth. This is the best geaneology timeline I have seen period, and I would love to find out if its available for purchase as a wall chart. However the link to the source page within the module info is a dead link, and a search for belinda worth in the SE hhas proved fruitless. Does anyone know if she has another website now and if the chart is available for purchase as a wall poster. If not how would i go about converting this into a format i could take to a local graphics/printing company to have them make me a wall chart(about 6 foot)? im also open to suggestions of other timelines that are as comprehensive as this, its the geanelogy im specificaly bothered about, but if another showd as accuratley this info alongside other info such as dates of the cannon writting, other key historical figures etc. then all the better. I like the look of Agards 'The amazing bible timeline' however by the time one pays for shipping to Scotland, its a bit pricy. As far as the like of the Rose book of bible charts and book of timelines, zondervans old testament and new testament timelines and the like, if i could view the content I could make an informed decision, however pictures of the content are'nt available, so if anyone has used either of these and can comment on their suitability, again i would appreciate this.

Third on the agenda. I recently ask some advice on the  christianity board forum(affiliated with this)however its like drawing teeth getting a straight answer, so i've linked to the question and if someone could answer the question raised it would be a God send.

#1629 How to create a module

Posted by hendo1986 on 25 August 2011 - 07:30 AM

Woohoo, created my first topx, the JW's trinity brochure(dont shoot the messanger, its handy to have)I also sourced the bibliography which they dont print in the brochure, and added it to the end. Also working on two more, John MacArthurs sermon/commentary series on each scripture of the bible as released on his grace for you website(i'll release each book of the bible as a seperate topx) this is NOT his commentary on the whole bible which is not in the public domain, and the other is John Stevenson's commentary series on each chapter of the bible which is proving to be annoying, as it contains lots of tables, meaning it cant just be pasted as a whole into tooltip, TT'd then pasted into the topic file, as it wont allow for tables, so it has to be TT'd a bit at a time. but it will be worth it.

Thanks all

Tony.

#1289 How to open TOPX file

Posted by hendo1986 on 10 August 2011 - 10:22 AM

Hi Buddy. You need to move the topx file. Go to your computers documents file, you will see an e-sword folder. Pop the topx file in there and restart e-sword. If your installing any self installing ad-on always keep an eye on the folder your installing it to, bibles, commentaries and dictionaries all go into the e-sword folder in the program's folder. If its a topx file, it always goes in my documents.

#1288 More files for the STEP Reader?

Posted by hendo1986 on 10 August 2011 - 10:13 AM

Hi

I was wondering whether it is possible to source more free volumes for the STEP reader. I have the sample collection, and a few more from www.lightbydesign.net that ive added to the E-Sword STEP file, but other than that I cant find anymore, which is a shame, as its such a great tool(although in essence not much different to the topx viewer). Any advice would be much appreciated.

God bless,

Tony.
