By the way, when contacting the text control developer, they insist it is not a bug but a feature (honestly).

On a side note, if  I view Gen 24:66 in Compare Tab and Parallel Tab, that verse displays correctly, but does not display correctly in its own Tab; go figure.

I realize that most modules are produced using ToolTip; I use sqlite3 and ran into a problem with one verse out of the 31,000+ verses.

I'm thinking it might be due to an invisible code or reserved word that may be the problem.

I'm working on a module which requires v.12 and up; 10.1+ is the highest listed.

Do I choose 10.1+ knowing the module will not work?

Using e-Sword 11 and e-Sword 12 on Linux.

Came across this anomaly; did a search for "Ye are gods" in Search exact phrase and Regular Expression, with two different outcomes. I also tried the escape keys in regex but with same outcome.

Did I miss something? Files attached.

I picked up a Samsung Tablet at a garage sale for $2.00. It comes with Android 4.4.4.

The only MyBible app I was able to install was MyBible 4.8.9; other versions failed due to parsing error.

However, every time I start MyBible I get following error:

"MyBible has failed to retrieve the registry of downloadable modules"

...................

My guess, Android 4.4.4 no longer supported by MyBible; not really a big deal, the only advantage is the good search capabilities.

Any Bible apps with good search capabilities that would work on an old Android 4.4.4?

    ToolTipTool NT 20190819.exe ; I find to be most stable; complete removal of current installation of ToolTip NT is needed to avoid .dll conflicts.

There is an alternative to using Wine on Linux and that is a program called Crossover Linux from Codeweavers that might help e-Sword function better

 I use e-Sword 11 and 12 on MXLinux 19 and 21. I have not run into any problems.

As for dll's, winehq.org once had a listing for e-Sword and suggested the following dll's:

mfc42.dll , msls31 , msxml3 . msxml6 , vbrun6 , vcrun6 , wsh57 , corefonts

There 8674 Strong's Number for Hebrew words and 5624 Strong's Numbers for Greek words in order to add all of the Strong's number to a bible text will require using the Find and Replace method 14298 times.

More than that; what about words like 'love' that use different Strong Numbers. A global search/replace would complicate things.

Bible searches can now use Regular Expressions! Just wrap the expression in the REGEX() command, for example:
REGEX(\b[Aa]fter\W+(?:\w+\W+){1,6}daysb)

Typo?
should be days\b ; but then I also realized that adding the \ causes an emoticon to appear; I unchecked [ ] Enable emoticons, but emoticon still appeared in post.

Maybe it was not a typo, but rather a way to avoid the emoticon.
