#36727 Cannot Change the eSword Screen Background Color

Posted by mossua11 on 26 September 2019 - 06:45 AM

eSword ver 12.0.1 introduced a revised method of eSword screen page background colors. There are now three options. They are low light, daylight, and lamp light. Low light gives a screen with a black background and white letters. Day light gives a screen with a white background and black letters. Lamp light gives a screen with a light yellow background and black letters.

I have vision problems and cannot see these backgrounds too good. In eSword ver 11.2.2 there was an option to change the screen background colors to many different colors. I used a green type color that enabled me to read the eSword screen for a long time. Also with ver 11.2.2 there was the ability to go to the Windows 10 Personification area and use the colors available on Windows. With ver 12.0.1 this cannot be done.

Does anyone have a fix or go around to get the old type colors back or how to change the colors in ver 12.0.1?  Ver 12.0.1 does seem to be faster in operation than ver 11.2.2.

I would appreciate any help or assistance that you maybe able to provide.

In the mean time, I have reloaded eSword   ver 11.2.2.

#36394 Strong's Exaustive Concordance for eSword

Posted by mossua11 on 17 August 2019 - 06:49 PM

How can I add  a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance to eSword? There is a need to see the words listing and scriptures as they appear in the Strong's Concordance.

Has anyone done this? I would appreciate any help on this.

#36152 ESword and TheWord Questions

Posted by mossua11 on 12 July 2019 - 09:30 AM

ESword and TheWord Questions

1. How can I change the Screen colors in eSword With custom colors like they use in theWord bible software? The current eSword method to change colors is not specific enough. I do not see good. I use a green background and eSword's current settings in version 11.1.0 do not give enough differences in colors. A way to define custom colors would be deeply appreciated.

2. How can I use eSword modules in theWord bible software?

3. How can I speed up the time it takes to look up a word using the dictionary or a commentary in eSword Bible Software? There is a long time delay in looking up information.

4. At one time, I understand that esword was written in Microsoft Access. I saw somewhere that now eSword is being written in a "HTML" format. If this is so, where can I find out how to write items using what eSword uses.

5. What software is theWord written in? Where can I find out how to write items using theWord Software.

6. I have used eSword and BibleSoft Bible Software for over 12 years. In the 12 years or so, I use eSword 95% of the time. I recently discovered theWord. I am now between eSword, theWord, and BibleSoft. I am 71 years old and know that I must settle on one software as time goes on. I like eSword and theWord more that BibleSoft? I mainly use bibleSoft because it has Warren Wiersbe's "BE" series and a New Ungers Bible Dictionary I bought some years ago.

I am Saved and Jesus Christ is my personal savior.

I would appreciate your thoughts on the above items.

#31719 Make Reference Books To Come on the Main Screen

Posted by mossua11 on 27 October 2017 - 10:42 PM

How to have e-Sword reference Books come up on the main screen like the Commentaries do when a Bible verse is selected. For example, when a Bible verse is selected, currently on the main screen , Commentaries where the verse appears light up to show that the Commentary has a reference for the verse. How can the same thing be done with the e-Sword Reference Books? This information would appear on the main e-Sword page.
