So how smart does a person need to be to use such a thing to convert a PDF to an E-sword module?  Currently I am trying to focus on relearning how to use the software to do better bible studies would it be hard to also learn this right now?  Or would I be better off just waiting?  Please consider I have brain damage and do get easily confused and frustrated!

Just to encourage anyone just starting to use E-Sword or thinking of using it!  It is easy to learn even for some one that has brain damage and I found out this for sure today!

Back around 2012 I helped a pastor to get and learn how to use E-Sword!  I went to the Church today to see if he could help me learn how to use it for myself again!

I discovered after using the program almost everyday for that long of time that through hard work I was able to show him things about the program he had forgotten over the years!  This is the second pastor friend I have been able to help and they have both really helped my confidence level!

So guys work hard and use these resources to their fullest level,  You will be glad you did!  Everyone I know that knows how to use this system that has gone to bible school or Seminary of some type believes they can learn more in half the time then they did at schools!

I can remember I am not doing what I could with the software years ago but I am to the point it is very useful to me already!  I will mainly need to work on using the editors to reach the upper levels of usefulness and then relearn how to make models myself to install in the system like I could at one time!

Being able to do word studies and searches in both bibles and books is so great!

I really look at the system as a way to talk to some great believers from the past and ask them questions on many subjects!

By the way does any one know if their are any good Bible School or seminary Journals that are put in E-Sword?  Ones like BibSac and Trinity???

Well Jon what you have said about a person,s brain coming back is true or I would not be able to be online talking to you!  That is why I am working on being able to use bible software again!  And getting to the place I can teach others how to use it well again!

However there are times when nothing is clicking up there and I need to step back for a while and just relax and rest!  Talk to Jesus and ask Him to show me what I need to do next!  Naturally this goes against the grain of a very competitive person that has trained and competed with athletes at the word class level but I am learning God works with me at what ever level I am at and I can and do rejoice in His loving kindness!

I did not really mean my age is a limit on my abilities as I do not consider that the problem,the problem is I can only walk or sit or even lay with much pain even after being ran over 20 years ago.  And on top of that I have had to relearn how to do all of those things which as taken time but I am thankful I can do them now!

I like you Jon and it make so difference your age!  You have been very helpful and encouraging to me!  I believe that is Christ working in you and I thank Him for that!

Well I got to go I am working on watching more bible study videos, I have to watch the same thing over and over and practice doing them time after time or I forget in a very short time!  My mind just needed a break so I thought I would check things out on the forms!  It is hard to believe on many times my mind changes the order of the letters I think I am typing and I end up wonder where did that come from, I didn't do that!  Oh no I did!

I am wondering does the e-sword for apple take the same modules as the normal E-Sword for windows does?  Or are they different and if they are different are there many resources for Apple?  Also if they are different where do you find them!

Hey Guys I am sorry I got all excited but my wife Wendy found my user name and password on her old computer!

My new computer came today!  Great news!  Now for the bad news I forgot my user name and password and other details!  The good news I stayed signed in on this computer can you send me information on how to sign in on my new computer!  My wife will be able to do it!  I know this sounds crazy stupid but that is what my life is like with brain damage!  I am just praising the Lord Jesus I remember who He is!!!  Do you need my email address or do you have it?  Or  can you just send me information on here some way???

Jon thanks so much for your reply I have found your email to me now I will have to take some time to ask my wife for help in downloading those books!  It is great that the book is now keyed to Strongs so people have access to such a good Lexicon!

Oh this is cool my wife just got me at 10in Tablet it uses Android 10 but so far we do not know how to download books from biblesupport is there information on how to do this??

God Bless Jon we live in very exciting times, it is hard to not want to see how they end  is Jesus coming back soon?  My hope is that He is!!!

I remember how much I used BDAG and how useful it was to me back in the good old days! Many years ago I could read and speak Greek but due to a series of events I can not remember hardly any Greek or many other things I should, but I have heard there is a BDAG that is now keyed to the Strong numbers!  Is that true and if so where can you get it and how much is it???  This would be kind of a step in the right direct for me, kind of like real Greeks for dummies!!!  LOL  I want to make sure I am looking items up in what I considered the best Greek Lexicon!  I gave my whole Logos program away because I could no longer use it but I think now I could do either The Word or E-Sword using Strong's numbers! I think at one time I had BDAG in The Word but I no longer have that computer so I am not sure but I do not think it was keyed to the Strongs!

I want to be able to give some folks a small package of E-Sword on a thumb drive!  However I have brain damage and I am not sure how to do this!  I also have limited resources but I am praying for certain people and I would like to be able to give the the Word of God in E-Sword and show them how easy it is to look things up for themselves instead of just listening to what people say that god says in the bible! 

I have not because I ask not so.  I am asking you guys for any help or ideas!

Wow guys I am thanking you for responding to my request and praising God for your answers!  In the past I understood how the programs worked very well and did most of my studies in Logos but I had done multiple classes in using is!  Then I found The Word and E-Sword and was amazed at how easy they were both to use and how if you understood both of them and bought some good Greek and Hebrew helps you could go very deep into a passage!  

So I doubt my days of Logos will ever be back and if they were I no longer own the resources!  However I believe with the Lord's help I will be able to do one or maybe even both of these programs again!

From what I understood I believe I will focus on E-Sword for right now and add The Word if I can not go as deep as I want to if my brain keeps getting better!  However it seems there might be a chance that E-Sword will be as far as I need to go and I will count on the Holy Spirit to be my teacher in the scriptures and daily living!  That is the cool part of having brain damage God has forced me to not count so much on what I can know but what He reveals to me and does through me!

Hi I am Jim and I have had some bad times and have brain damage.  It has been years and I think I may be able to learn how to use a bible study program after many years of not being able to.  At one time I had several large programs like Logos and knew how to use them all.  I had over 3000 books in Logos alone and I had a very large E-Sword and The Word libraries.

I can remember the E-Sword and The Word was less complicated than Logos to use but you could not do as much but they were very good and getting much better!  I assume this progress has continued.  The Logos program I gave to a pastor friend in 2006 and he uses it all of the time!  I know I still would not be able to work that program so I am not sad I do not have it!  I still have both the Word and the E-Sword programs with 1000s of books in each.  Some I had made myself when my brain still worked right!

Now my brain still has problems and I do not want to start learning both programs again, this would make my brain too tired and hurt from getting confused.  So I need input, my wife has updated both systems to the current programs.  I am looking for advice from folks that have used one or the other or both programs  would be the best, and my question would be which one of the two programs is easiest to use now and which one can you do the most research in?  I do not know if I will ever be able to read Greek again or work on my Doctors degree again but I would like to know which one is the best if I get better for deeper research like, creating your own books and papers, advance Greek work and such and which one is best for simply getting around in! That is what I could learn to use right now!

Todd I understand this is not a direct answer to your request but I was wondering if you have a smart phone?  I have brain damage and was looking for the very thing you mentioned and was praying everyday about this and one morning I woke up and the Lord had given me an idea!  So I got a cheap smart phone and got on the internet with it.  I did not need to even buy time I just got on my home wifi with it and then I could down load a free off line audio bible!  I now have ESV and NKJV both that I use many times each day off line!  I also bought a second smart phone that I have a free copy of MYSword on as well as free copies of the NKJV for use off line!

Each smart phone cost was about 29 dollars and the apps were all free and this set up allows me to go out in the woods or anyplace and have the Word read to me and also I can follow along with the other free app with the written word and even take notes in mySword either on the smart phone or on my tablet!  I found these cheap ways to get what would work for me and even cheaper if you already have a smart phone and the bible on a computer with either ESword or The Word!

I just found the programs by searching for things like free audio NKJV bible for offline use!

May  the Lord Jesus Christ richly bless you in your search for tools that He can use to reveal Himself to you!!!
