#15062 Combining all notes into a single rtf file.

Posted by ebulerdo on 01 January 2013 - 07:33 AM in e-Sword Tools & Utilities

Hi Ken

Thanks Patch, I downloaded the tool and it is very cool. A fantastic tool for topics, commentaries, bibles, devotionals and such. What I was hoping to do was to extract all of my study notes out of the underlying sqllite database.

Tooltip Tool is not just for building new modules. You can use it to open an existing module, and it will show all your notes as a single RTF document. You can print that or export it to any word proccesor. I think that's exactly what you are asking for.

You have that options at Modules - Notes - Read notes file.

Have a look at it.

Regards,

Carlos

#6705 Trim RTF in Tooltip NT

Posted by ebulerdo on 22 February 2012 - 08:09 AM in Module Creation Tools

Hi Josh

I have read your Tooltip NT Guide and find it extremely useful. While most of the options in Tooltip NT are easy to understand, you mention many interesting points that save a lot of time.

I didn't find, however, any explanation about the "Trim RTF" feature in the Tools menu. I have tried that with different texts, but I don't see what it does. Could you or Brent please explain?

Thanks!

Carlos

#10704 e-Sword Documentation - Hebrew Chart.pdf

Posted by ebulerdo on 06 July 2012 - 04:21 AM in New e-Sword Downloads

Hi Stephen

Thank you, this is useful.

Just a small detail: the UTF codes can be used in RTF too, but they need to be converted to decimal (they are hexadecimal in your list). I mean, aleph can be represented as \'e0 or as \u1280 (which is the decimal value of 0500).

The RTF notation will only work if you specify the text is Hebrew. The UTF text will work anyway, but if you use the search function it will not find anything.

Carlos

#9140 Bible module causing problems in parallel view?

Posted by ebulerdo on 16 May 2012 - 04:50 PM in e-Sword Modules / Resources

Hi Bradley

According to the emailer, when the MLV is selected, only the first two verses of each chapter will show up. When the MLV is removed, all the verses are visible per chapter. I tested this personally, and discovered the same issue.

I have downloaded (just now) both the MLV and ToY+, and am not having this problem. Can you please point me to the chapters where this is happening?

Regards,

Carlos

#7801 Bible no longer works

Posted by ebulerdo on 03 April 2012 - 01:23 AM in e-Sword Modules / Resources

Hi ApologetixFan

If that module was bought from estudysource, you should ask them as Josh suggests.

But if that is a module you built yourself (that is, it's not the official module), you need to change its abbreviation, since e-Sword won't display a module with that abbreviation unless it's the official one. You need to change the NKJV to something else (e.g. NKJVe).

You can use the e-Sword Tab Renamer tool from the downloads section to do that.

Carlos

#7955 Bible no longer works

Hi bbacle

Tried the Tab Renamer, and changed it to NKJVe as suggested, and it is now working in eSword.
Weird.

I'm glad it's fixed.

It's not that weird, it's an intentional feature. I guess to prevent the use of modules that violate copyright, modules with the same abbreviations as the official ones are blocked and are not displayed. Just change the abbreviation and it works.

Carlos

That fixed it.

#5738 T3 and backspace

Posted by ebulerdo on 18 January 2012 - 05:41 PM in Module Creation Tools

Hi Brent

Please, can you help with two questions?

1. Whenever T3 is open, no matter in which program I am, if I press the backspace (that is, that key that deletes the last character) an attention window will appear saying "RTF Not Available in the Clipboard". That's really annoying. Right now I'm using v3.46. I'm not sure with what version it began to happen, but certainly it was recently, it never happened with the previous versions.

2. I hadn't installed T4 until today. I won't bother you with a lot of questions, since I will have to read all the documentation and the threads about it first, but I do have one question: is there a way to copy the list of references from the right panel, as can be done in T3?

Thank you!
