church fathers
A verse-keyed commentary drawn from the church fathers of the first thousand years — Augustine, John Chrysostom, Jerome, Origen, Bede and over 250 others, from the 1st to the 10th centuries. Each entry gathers what several fathers said on that passage, so you get the patristic reading of a verse side by side rather than one father at a time.
18,656 entries across all 66 books. Coverage is fullest in the Psalms, the Gospels and the Pauline epistles, which is where the fathers wrote most.
The texts are the nineteenth-century Ante-Nicene and Nicene & Post-Nicene Fathers translations, long in the public domain. This module is free to copy, share and pass on, and may never be sold.
Prepared by SermonIndex.net, where the same commentary can be read online at https://www.sermonin...commentary/ecf/ — the module is generated from that same text, so corrections made on the site flow into future builds.
Also available in SWORD and MyBible formats, along with 190 other public-domain commentaries, at https://www.sermonindex.net/modules/
Install: unzip and copy SI-ECF.cmti into your e-Sword resources folder, then restart e-Sword. It appears in the Commentary pane. This is the current HTML-based module format.

Having spent some time going through the ECF file I can say that this will be very useful for those that want to compare what the early church believed and what we are now told the bible teaches.
