This version of the Gesenius Hebrew Grammar has been updated by including the gif into the documentation, and therefore it will not work with versions 9x and below.

This resource is not compatible with the following e-Sword platforms:
  • e-Sword HD (iPad)
  • e-Sword LT (iPhone)
  • e-Sword X (Mac computers)
Neither is this resource compatible for MySword, or any other Bible Software. Do not attempt

For those who wish to have this resource, but are still using e-Sword 9x, click here to download the file for your version.

Wow! This is a great looking module from a classic Hebrew grammar. Good job!

Wow! This is a great looking module from a classic Hebrew grammar. Good job!

Thank you, and praise God that you like it.

There was very little work done to it. Only added the images into the Topic Note file.

Blessings,

The images don't appear properly positioned when the window is made full screen.

Jon

Hi Jon,

You are correct, and there is nothing I can do about it.

That said, when viewing the file in the Topic Note Editor and having it in the Page Layout view, there is no problem as the images are exactly where they are suppose to be.

I trust this will help you.

Blessings,

request to programmer: The heading of this web page still says "e-Sword 9+ Module Download:" instead of, e-Sword 10+, could this be given attention please, because the comment says " it will not work with versions 9x and below."

The webpage is http://www.biblesupp...hebrew-grammar/

Please note - the download filename appears as Gesenius' Hebrew Grammar.exe Please could that be modified, perhaps to Gesenius' Hebrew Grammar.exe Thank you. (Olaf Bacon)

Problem with font. Even after I installed Sbl-hebrew font...any suggestions. God bless.

Don't worry about it due to the fact that the executable file still works. The reason for the &#39 bit is because it doesn't recognize the single quote mark in the file name.

There is one download available [1] Gesenius' Hebrew Grammar.exe

What do you want to do with Gesenius' Hebrew Grammar.exe?
Suggestion. Use "save as" and rename as "Gesenius Hebrew Grammar.exe.docx"
View Properties of the downloaded file. Notice the Security warning added to the properties, "This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer." Move the pointer over the empty check box alongside the word "Unblock", and then select the check box. This will change to a check box containing a check (tick) mark, and be highlighted. Move the pointer to the "Apply" button. Select the "Apply" button. The accessed date and time will be updated. Exit the Properties windows by selecting the "OK" button. Rename the module by removing the ".docx" letters, so that the file type becomes ".exe".
Select the Gesenius Hebrew Grammar.exe which will install into your e-Sword folder. Follow prompts.

"Gesenius' Hebrew Grammar.topx", with Date modified 2016-06-10 12013K will be installed in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword" folder.
Restart e-Sword to see the new entry. Use tools, Reference Library, and search for "Geseniius' Hebrew Grammar" to see the contents.
If you want to edit the Topic name, and the Tab Name, use the Bible Support "Tab Renamer Utility".

If you want to view this with the Topic Notes Editor, (Refer to e-Sword User's Guide page 2, which you can access from the e-Sword "Help" tab.) See e-Sword Options, Resource Settings..., Resource Options, to see where the User Files Location, and the Resources Location folders are.
Copy the module from the Resources Location folder, to your local User Files Location folder, then restart e-Sword.

COMMENT:
The Hebrew font mentioned on the first page wants SBL Hebrew Font. Both this and the Hebrew Ezra SIL fonts do not correctly display the square Hebrew font characters as was used in the documentation. The page "04. Table of Alphabets" refers to the following location for pictures.
<<File:C:\Program Files\e-Sword\GeseniusTable.gif>>
<<<File:C:\Program Files\e-Sword\GeseniusTable2.gif>>> [I do not find this in the Program Files folder]
<<<File:C:\Program Files\e-Sword\GeseniusTable3.gif>>> [I do not find this in the Program Files folder]

On Gesenius' Hebrew Grammar, version 2.0.1 by APsit190, see page 04.Table of Alphabets for
[1] a table with the Old Hebrew, Samaritan, Old Aramaic, and Aramaic-Hebrew characters.
[2] The picture of the Siloam inscription
[3] the text of that Siloam inscription.
I do not find the picture of Old Hebrew Seals and gems, and the picture of Jewish coins.
The various tables of grammar appear correctly, on the relevant pages.
However, characters of the Hebrew fonts in the text are corrupted, probably using another coding pattern.
