What's New in Version 1.0 (See full changelog)
- Uploaded Mac/e-sword 11 version.
May YAH bless you for sharing this wonderful resource! Thank you!
I have e-Sword 11.1.0 installed, I downloaded and saw it was not added to my e-Sword. I take it I will not be able to install this until it gets updated? Any plans to do so? Any other way to get this to work for me?
We use this tool all the time, it is great to take greek words back to the Hebrew. It really helps bring the Word to life. Thank you for sharing this. Kepha
what app can I use to download these items? My computer says I don't have an app to open the files?
This is an awesome work that is put together for all those who seek Knowledge in the Truth of the Word. Shalom and be blessed in your all your walks. Kepha Ryan
Strongs Plus Dictionary Greek Hebrew Equivalent
Submitted Jun 17, 2011 for e-Sword for Windows PC this was last updated Jan 02, 2022 with a Lexicon module which is applicable for Mac/e-Sword version 11 and later.
There are at present three download options:
[1] StrongsPlus.dctx 13.8 MB
[2] StrongsPlus.dctx.exe 1.38 MB
[3] strongsplus.lexi 13.97 MB
Option [3] is designed for MAC/e-Sword for PC version 11+ and later. This will run on the following versions of e-Sword:
e-Sword for the PC (https://www.e-sword.net/)
e-Sword for Android (https://www.e-sword.net/android/)
e-Sword X for the Mac (https://www.e-sword.net/mac/)
e-Sword HD for the iPad (https://www.e-sword.net/ipad/)
e-Sword LT for the iPhone (https://www.e-sword.net/iphone/)
After the successful download of the selected module to your device, you will need to copy the downloaded module into the directory file folder in which e-Sword will process your files. From the relevant e-Sword links, select the FAQ option, and read the advice of Rick Meyers, the designer of your version of e-Sword.
"Strongs Plus Dictionary Greek Hebrew Equivalent.dctx.exe 1.0" likely refers to a digital version of Strong's Greek and Hebrew Dictionary, a tool used for Bible study. It provides definitions and information about the original Greek and Hebrew words found in the Bible, organized using a numbering system. The .dctx.exe extension suggests it's a downloadable executable file for a specific program.
[1] The download option "StrongsPlus.dctx.exe" is a setup Wizard installer, designed to install an integral copy of the "StrongsPlus.dctx" version for e-Sword on your PC or laptop computer. You will need to run this setup file after you have downloaded this installer file. By default it will load "StrongsPlus.dctx" to the folder that you have set in e-Sword displayed in Resource Location window (from tab "Options" > "Resource Settings...", and shown in the window at the bottom of one of the following screen pop-ups). It provides the option to select a different Destination Location folder. Follow instructions as shown. You need to restart e-Sword to see the file in the Dictionary window.
When you select the Strong+ dictionary option, select the "Dictionary Topics (Ctrl+T)" icon that looks like an open book, to load the contents.
