e-Sword Version: 11.x - 14.x (Windows) / 9.x (macOS) / 12.x (iPadOS/iOS)
If you just can't seem to bring yourself to read much of your usual bible version(s), and yet your spirit is willing; may I humbly suggest that you try reading 1 or 2 chapters of the Timeless King James Update (TKJU) each morning (or another bible which very tightly approximates the King James Version in meaning when you comprehensively compare it verse-by-verse in bible software, yet has satisfactory readability for you)? Or maybe you have read the KJV in the past, and you perceived the words had distinct power [e.g., please consider reading Psalms 90-100 (KJV) to get a taste of that power]; but tackling the KJV Shakespearean English learning-curve hindered you from regularly reading the KJV as your default bible version?
If you can relate to either case above, and you have not yet heard of the Timeless King James Update (TKJU), here is a short description for it:
"The Timeless King James Update (TKJU) Old+New Testament Bible is an English-dialect update to the King James Authorized Version; intended as a complementary reading, studying, & teaching aid to those reluctant to acclimate to Shakespearean English. 2) From Home screen, swipe down on lower-half of screen
3) Search for Files app
4) Top Hits: Files app (blue folder icon)
5) Tap desired Location icon on bottom toolbar (e.g., Browse icon)
6) Favorites: Downloads (or Today)
7) Tap & hold tkju.bbli file
8) Share
9) eSword
10) If the above steps do not work for some reason: Alternatively, attach the downloaded tkju.bbli file to an unsent cloud eMail draft (even without a To Address) -- Open that eMail draft on your iPhone -- Tap & hold the attached tkju.bbli file -- Share -- eSword)
11) Exit / restart e-Sword LT app (for iPhone)
12) Ensure the TKJU bible is the expected v2.2 by performing these steps: 3-line hamburger menu at top-left -- General: Installed -- Blue circle i icon to right of Timeless King James Update (TKJU) -- Scroll all the way to bottom of About Module Information -- Ensure v2.2 is listed -- Done hotspot twice
** For e-Sword HD (iPad) users:
1) Download the e-Sword v2.2 tkju.bbli file to your Downloads folder from here: https://theword-modu...m/download/5847
2) Swipe down from top-middle
3) Search for Files app
4) Files app (blue folder icon)
5) Tap desired Location in sidebar (e.g., Downloads or Recents folder; Show Sidebar icon if necessary)
6) Select
7) Tap & hold tkju.bbli file
8) Share
9) eSword

2) e-Sword X File menu
3) Import
4) Navigate to the downloaded tkju.bbli file
5) Exit/restart e-Sword X
6) Ensure the TKJU bible is the expected v2.2 (version is indicated at the very bottom of the Bible - Information text)

3) Properties
4) Checkmark Unblock
5) OK button
6) Copy tkju.bbli file to C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword (or your analogous installation drive path)
7) Exit/restart e-Sword
8) Ensure the TKJU bible is the expected v2.2 (version is indicated at the very bottom of the Bible menu - Information... text)
9) If there is a TKJUnt bible tab, manually delete the now down-level NT "tkjuNT.bbli" file from C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword (or your analogous installation drive path).

6) START DOWNLOADING button
7) Wait for MySword to restart
8) Select TKJU version from top-left pull-down menu to actively display it (if it is not already)
9) Optionally confirm the actively displayed TKJU bible is the expected Version: 2.2 from the blue circle i (Information) icon -- About Module -- Scrolling down to confirm Version: 2.2
10) If there is a TKJUnt bible installed, open it, and manually delete that now down-level NT being displayed using the MySword paper shredder icon (typically top toolbar near far right) -- Enter tkj to confirm deletion (step 10 is uncommon)
11) If the bible acronym is Tkju (and not TKJU), then blue Gear icon -- Preferences -- Scroll down & select Clear abbreviations cache -- YES -- OK (step 11 is very uncommon)

* For Kindle (Paperwhite):
1) eMail the TKJU.epub file to your Send-to Kindle.com eMail address (found under Kindle Settings - Send-to-Kindle e-Mail information; no Subject line is necessary).
2) Wait around 10-20 minutes for the TKJU to show up on your Kindle eBook list.
3) Log-in to Amazon website -- Your Account -- Content Library -- Enter tkju in search your content field -- Select TKJU -- Checkmark older down-level TKJU -- Delete button -- Yes, delete permanently button -- Select TKJU_NT if present -- Checkmark TKJU_NT if present -- Delete button -- Yes, delete permanently button.
** For theWord (Windows), you can install v2.2 of the TKJU by performing the following 7 steps:
1) Select "Install modules..." from theWord "File" menu
2) Press "Download file from URL..." button

7) If there is a TkjuNT bible tab, manually delete the now down-level NT "tkjuNT.ntx" file from C:\ProgramData\The Word\Bibles (or your analogous installation drive path).

18) If there is a TKJUnt bible installed, manually delete that down-level NT as follows: 3-dot menu -- Modules icon -- All module types down-arrow menu -- Already downloaded -- Expand "English - Bible modules" twisty-arrow -- TKJUnt Timeless King James Update (TKJU) - New Testament -- Trashcan icon at top-right -- Delete hotspot at bottom-right of pop-up
19) Back/Return left-arrow
20) "Bible acronym" button at top-left

22) For TKJU About Information, quickly double-tap Preface hyperlink near top of each book (and later embedded Footnote "[1]" hyperlinks can be quickly double-tapped the same way); or alternatively swipe-down on the toolbar's reference verse # (but don't swipe-down all the way from the top-edge), scroll down to the bottom of the vertical toolbar pop-up. and click "i" circle (module About Information) icon at the very bottom
23) Ensure v2.2 is listed at the bottom of the TKJU About Information - X Close at top-right
** For Bible Analyzer (Windows/macOS/Linux):
1) Download the v2.2 TKJU.bib file to your desired directory/folder from here: https://theword-modu...m/download/5862
2) Right-click downloaded TKJU.bib file
3) Properties
4) Checkmark Unblock
5) OK button

7) Exit/restart Bible Analyzer
