Tooltip Tool how many versions? Where are they for download?

22 September 2013 - 05:59 AM

---------------------------

PROBLEM SOLVED: I just needed to update to e-Sword v10.2.1 for ToolTip Tool NT 2.08 to run

---------------------------

Good morning :)

1. I had ToolTip Tool NT 2.08 installed and used to be able to open Module -> Bible modules -> Read bible file.

But all of a sudden it doesn't work well. It opens and reads some bblx but not others (which did read fine before).

I uninstalled the program altogether, reinstalled it and now I get this error when I run the program:

Report the following:
VALUE ERROR
VerseList2[5]         a←form ⎕wi '.txVL.Create' TXVersion
                                                ^
----------------------------------------
VerseList2[5] *
TxCtrl[41]
Start[56]

Any idea why?

2. Then I installed the Tool Tip Tool v3.50 but this one doesn't even have the option to read? Just save?

Where is the "Read Bible file" in this version?

3. Is there a place (support page) to view ALL versions of ToolTipTool so I can try other versions?

Thanks!

Alex

Public domain regular cross references like the ones in printed Bibles?

26 February 2013 - 08:56 PM

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can find public domain regular cross references?

I'm looking for something like this:

Mat 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. Luke 1:31-32; [Luke 2:4]; [Rom 1:3]; [2Tim 2:8];
Mat 1:2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judah and his brethren; Gen 21:2; Gen 25:26; Gen 29:35;

I need them in *.bblx format or similar format with one verse per line,

so that I can read them in ToolTip tool.

I don't mind if the cross references come at the end of each verse in an existing Bible module.

I'll work it out somehow!

Thanks and Blessings!

 Alex

Interlinear format need help!

15 February 2013 - 09:14 PM

I have 2 raw text files and they look like this:

KJV+Strong’s:

Mat 1:1 The book G976 of the generation G1078 of Jesus G2424 Christ G5547, the son G5207 of David G1138, the son G5207 of Abraham G11.

MAV+Strong’s:

Mat 1:1 The scroll G976 of the generation G1078 of YESHUA G2424 haMashiach G5547, the Son G5207 of David G1138, the Son G5207 of Avraham G11.

And I want to create my own interlinear Bible to look like this:

G976

G1078

G2424

G5547

1

The scroll

of the generation

of YESHUA

haMashiach,

The book

of the generation

of Jesus

Christ,

G5207

G1138

G5207

G11

the Son

of David,

the Son

of Avraham.

the son

of David,

the son

of Abraham.

Notice how this may be done by placing the text into cells of a table, however it is easier said than done, because the text will have to wrap at some point and not necessarily where the verse ends.

Logically, it doesn’t seem too difficult, since both texts are tagged with the same Strong’s numbers, but I still can’t figure out how to make it happen.

There is very limited info about it online. Some say it would have to be a macro (couldn't find one), others say there is glossing software that does it (couldn't find it either).

Any help or guiding me in the right direction perhaps with a macro or software will be appreciated. (I don’t know how to use macros but I’m willing to learn).

Thanks & Shalom!
