Yes, that was a great idea to make use of the Parallel feature on e-Sword, but I don't know to export from Gen 1:1 to Rev 22:21.

(Of course abiding by Copyright laws). But still, from what I see, it oly let's you export/copy/paste 1 chapter at a time. Or am I missing something?

In Topic: Public domain regular cross references like the ones in printed Bibles?

Hey Brad, how are you? I was just replying to you on another thread.

Since I'm doing a parallel Bible with English and Hebrew on separate columns, the idea is to put the references on yet another column.

So then, how do you suggest I pursue putting cross references on a separate column next to each Bible verse?

thanks a lot brother!

I gave up on the interlinear project but I'm confident to be able to do a parallel.

But I haven't been able to find public domain cross references to put on a separate column.

Do you have any ideas?

I don't mind if it's a Bible module that comes with the references at the end of each verse, as long as the references are on the same line.

(You gave me a great idea about doing creative find/replace!

Thanks and shalom!

Alex

In Topic: What Modules do you want for e-Sword

Hi Brad,

Yes, I realize that but I don't think beginning with...

Mat 1:1 The book G976 of the generation G1078 of Jesus G2424 Christ G5547, the son G5207 of David G1138, the son G5207 of Abraham G11.

I think it would have to be one of the Bible formats like USFX, or USFM, or OSIS, or GBF, etc etc etc.

Something like this:

<CM>
<BN><SBMatt><TN>Matthew<Tn><TT>The Gospel According to St. Matthew<CM>
<Tt><SC1><SV1>The book G976 of the generation G1078 of Jesus G2424 Christ G5547, the son G5207 of David G1138, the son G5207 of Abraham G11.
<SV2>Abraham G11 begat G1080 Isaac G2464; and G1161 Isaac G2464 begat G1080 Jacob G2384; and G1161 Jacob G2384 begat G1080 Judas G2455 and G2532 his G846 brethren G80;
<SV3>And G1161 Judas G2455 begat G1080 Phares G5329 and G2532 Zara G2196 of G1537 Thamar G2283; and G1161 Phares G5329 begat G1080 Esrom G2074; and G1161 Esrom G2074 begat G1080 Aram G689;
<SV4>And G1161 Aram G689 begat G1080 Aminadab G284; and G1161 Aminadab G284 begat G1080 Naasson G3476; and G1161 Naasson G3476 begat G1080 Salmon G4533;
<SV5>And G1161 Salmon G4533 begat G1080 Booz G1003 of G1537 Rachab G4477; and G1161 Booz G1003 begat G1080 Obed G5601 of G1537 Ruth G4503; and G1161 Obed G5601 begat G1080 Jesse G2421;

Or am I missing something?
Because remember, what I'm doing is preparing for publishing a printed book with interlinear and reverse interlinear, plus I need to have the references in a separate column, and if there is no way to put the Hebrew texts on interlinear, then I will need to put them as a parallel Bible with 3 columns, and finally the Strong's concordance and Strong's dictionary which will occupy last 400+ pages of the book.
In other words, I don't really know how all this is done. I realize it will take a lot of time and I'm happy and willing to spend that time. I just want to make sure I start with the right raw text to begin editing all over again.
Thanks brother!
