This module comes from a two part blog on the subject of Soteriology by pastor Kellen Criswell. This blog was a blessing to me so I asked for permission to make it into a module. I pray that some of you will be blessed by it too. This module expresses my basic views on the issue in a concise manner. Kellen says it much better than I could.
The third chapter is another blog by Kellen on the same site that was partially related. If Kellen adds any more blogs on the subject, I will add them to this module.
About the Author:
Kellen has been in vocational ministry since 2005. He spent just over one year as a worship pastor in West Point, Utah at Christ Community Church. Later he served first as an assistant pastor for one year and later as the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel of Salmon, ID for two years. He earned a theological degree from Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, CA.
In 2008 Jesus began confirming His desire for Kellen and his family to move to Ogden, UT to start Refuge Church and work with existing Christian churches in the area. The Lord has blessed this church planting adventure abundantly. Currently Kellen serves as Lead Pastor of Preaching and Vision to Refuge Church and is the Director of the Calvary Church Planting Network.

I didn't realize Calvary Chapel had such a nice website, lots of very useful content.
I just checked out this web site, I was wondering if possible some of Dr. G. Whitfield's works were available for an ESword module..i.e. his notes on 1 John

RickB let me know via prive message that he meant to say Griffith Thomas. There is an excert of the writings of Griffith Thomas in a blog at www.calvarychapel.com. Griffith Thomas was not part of calvary chapel, but his writings (especially those on 1 John), were instrumental in leading pastor Chuck Smith to begin teaching the Bible verse by verse. This occured prior to the beginnings of Calvary Chapel. Many of us believe this is one of the key reasons that God has blessed the Calvary Chapel movement so much. All of the churches teach through the Bible verse by verse in context. This impacts people's lives in amazing ways! He died in 1924, so most of his writings should be public domain. I will have to see if I can find some clean text.
Peter I've been on the hunt for Griffith Thomas clean text for a long time...so I was very excited when I saw them working on The Apostle John on the blog. I think they're working with a text from Archive.org so it could be a while before we have the whole text for a module.
I love his devotional commentary on Romans, also his outline studies on Matthew, Luke and Acts are helpful. His book Grace and Power is excellent...all I've found is scanned pdf's though. Let me know if you find anything!

I was suprised when I saw it having already read the article on the new Calvary Chapel website.
Powerful message contained here refuting an unbiblical docrine concerning our Great Salvation!
