This classic, Greek commentary on 1 and 2 Thessalonians has transcended time, still cited by modern Bible scholars today. The verse by verse, exegetical comments and dissertations were written by George Milligan, whose 19th and 20th century scholarship set the standards for Greek vocabulary.

Thanks for converting this for eSword users. Your description, while concise, does convey the respect the commentary deserves. My hard copy edition was reprinted as an entry in an "Evangelical Masterworks" series. While scholarly, and "critical," he upheld the authenticity and integrity of both letters, at a time when "critical" scholarship was inclined to discount the authenticity of 2 Thessalonians. His treatment of 2 Th 2.1-12, both in the verse by verse commentary, and in the Introduction and the last two "Additional Notes," demonstrated an early appreciation for the origin of 2 Th 2.1-12 in the Olivet Discourse (Matt 24, Mk 13, Lk 21). My only surprise is that this wasn't available for eSword (or theWord) before now.
