A Windows PC tool for making e-Sword modules.

Tooltip Tool documentation: e-Sword ToolTip Tool NT

NOTE when building a .bblx file.
What you need to do on the last line of text is put an enter for a new line, then put a space on the next blank line and enter for a new line. So it would look like
Rev 22:21 text goes here then [press enter key]

[space here][press enter key]

If you don't do this then the last line in your Bible will be missing. There isn't a problem with .bbli files.

REFX files are compressed.  I do not have the algorithm to un-compress them.  So the simple answer is, T4 will not open them.  You can do it the hard way, copy and paste from e-Sword to T4.  e-Sword HD has a nice data presentation to it.

is the code for each of these modules available so we can utilise it in other programs?

I remember working on the roman stuff but that was when Best was supported - so the idea was TT then Best

If the code is not secret (and I'd wonder why code would be once it works)

then could we see how the bits work?

I'm a computer programmer as my job now (was a hobby when I when an engineer)

I'm using C# to write a program that all should be able to use

----initial aim - to convert prepared files in a couple of clicks to finished esword modules

I plan to allow for 'tooltip tool' benefits like in module tooltips as well as conversion of odd content conversion (Roman, etc.)

----eventual aim - to allow all the above plus conversion and inclusion of images as per v10

Of course if the code is secret - I'd like to know publicly before I go to the trouble of writing my own code

e-Sword Tooltip Tool NT is a complete re-write of the old e-Sword Tooltip Tool.  This program supports images.  It tooltips scripture references. It can produce modules for both Windows and iPad versions. Is the code secret?  No.  But can you read it?  Probably not because it is written APL+Win code.  If you want to see a review of what Tooltip NT can do, see the following: http://www.biblesupp...ord-turns-1-r54   If you have not tried using it in the last year, then perhaps give it a try.

Downloaded last night on windows 7 os launched fine. Tried it this morning and icon shows on task bar but software doesn't launch. Really excited to try my luck at making some modules and from other comments seems like an excellent program any advice will be greatly appreciated. Even tried uninstalling and re-installing no luck.

For the past year or so I have been working on a favorite bible translation. It is somewhat obscure and only existed as graphic scans. Using the software and the use of an OCR program I have been able to create bible module that I truly love.

This would not have been possible for me to accomplish with t4. I am very glad to have been blessed with this marvelous utility program for creation modules for E-sword.  One day soon when I have finished my proof proof reading I hope to share the module with others.

Many thanks to the author of t4. It is an excellent tool.  I appreciate the commitment and effort it takes to author such a program. We are greatly blessed to have this tool!
