Jewish History Maps 2.0

History

e-Sword Version:
9.x - 10.x
Tab Name:
Jewish
These are a series of maps illustrating different aspects of Jewish cultural and political history ranging from the Old Testament Era to the modern state of Israel. Images include topographic maps, boundaries for ancient kingdoms, locations of Jewish populations, medieval maps and maps showing the changing boundaries of the modern Israeli state and Palestine.
What's New in Version 2.0 (See full changelog)
- At the suggestion of APsit190, I have added a brief historical commentary for each map, making this module more informative and more like a brief history of the Jews from ancient times until now.
Screenshots
After downloading and installing this map, has a good look at it, and found it well done and presented. About the only criticism I make is the lack of historical notes and/or commentary relating to the maps. I think if there were some notes and/or commentary, then this particular work would be one of the best resources here.
A bit of personal history:
One of the maps which grabbed my attention, was the map of Nazi Concentration and and Extermination Camps (1933-1945). The reason for this map grabbing my attention is that my mother was a prisoner at Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp (Obviously she survived it as I was born in 1949). Moreover, I was born in Celle, which is only approx. 8Km (5 miles) south of Bergen-Belsen.
Thank you for your suggestions, and as you can see, I have taken them to heart. I have now added historical notes for these maps, explaining the significance of each one to Jewish history, as you can see by the change log. If you like the changes, feel free to give this module a good rating. ;-) I also appreciated the bit of personal history that you shared.
