I cannot say enough good things about this book which is
entitled "A Good Start" - by Charles Haddon Spurgeon.

It is a great devotional for Christian Parents to help guide them
in raising their children. Includes many Character Studies of
Old and New Testament Men and Women. I especially
enjoyed the Chapters on Ruth and Esther. Spurgeon does a
good job in showing how characters from the Bible can be an
example and inspiration for Christian parents, as well as for
their children whom they are trying to raise in a cruel and
sinful world.

This book also includes some good examples of prayer life,
especially in the examples of king David and Lydia. This is
definitely a great book for Parents, and while it might be a
little "dated," it has so many vital lessons that parents can
use today. Even has Spurgeon's thoughts for young men
and women's lives past the age of Twenty-Five.
