The Gift New Testament gets its name from several ideas: that salvation is a gift, that the Christian community is to be based upon spiritual gifting, and that electronic versions of it are available for free. The Gift New Testament is derived from the earliest-available Greek texts and seeks to convey the Greek accurately but without sacrificing good English composition.
