Hi,
Does anyone out there have any experience of installing e-Sword as a portable application - i.e. one that can be run from an external drive without having to install on the host PC/ lap-top?
I currently have a personal lap-top (Lenovo Ideapad G580 under Windows 8) and a professional lap-top (Lenovo Thinkpad W520 under Windows 7). I have e-Sword installed on both - but each of them references the files structures and resources installed on each machine. And of course my personal notes are potentially different on each machine unless I copy 'My Documents/e-Sword' onto an external drive and then synch on each machine.
To remove this effort, what I am looking for is the ability to install e-Sword as a portable app on a USB drive (e.g. thumb drive) so that all I have to do is plug the device into whichever lap-top I have with me and not have to worry about synchronising between the different machines.
So has anybody done this? If so, I would be grateful for any guidance as to how I could achieve this.
