#31723 Font color help

Posted by Dennis Hagans on 28 October 2017 - 08:17 PM

Hey Guys

In my Bible studies, I like to copy and paste scriptures into WordPad.

I print some of these studies out to share with others.

when I am copying the verses at least one verse will change its font color from the default teal? to a dark red Like Mat 2:3 will change from teal to dark red,

and then when I am going through it I have to manually copy the preceding verse Mat 2:2 and backspace over and retype the letters numbers in the teal color so that all my verses are consistent in color and a few verses are not different color as if emphasizing them.

is there a way to stop this from happening? why on earth would touching a verse with the mouse cause it to change color in the first place?

if I wanted to emphasize something I would make it bold or something.

I do not recall this happening in my beloved E-sword 7.5

Hello.

I recently upgraded to E-sword 11.x

is there a way to change the default bible so that it comes up with The one I want so I do not have to remember to change it all the time?

#31463 WEB and WEBA

Posted by Dennis Hagans on 16 September 2017 - 06:15 PM

Hello, it's me again. fixed it by using resources options to remove weba

Ok, I have downloaded I think just about every English version available.

The problem is now I have two WEB bibles and I wish to remove the WEBA because I do not need another World English Bible but with the Apocrypha, normally I just go right into the e-sword directory and either ctrl+d or ctrl+x the file I want to remove. in the bible tabs, they are listed as WEB and WEBA mousing over them says world English bible and world English bible /w Apocrypha.

The funny thing is when I look in the program files x86\e-sword directory I see WE webster, WEL, wiki, William, WNT, and WOY.

they are not listed under THE world English bible either.

they are simply nowhere to be found, yet they are in the bible tabs and fully functioning.

The only thing different is that I used the downloader within E-sword to install these bibles.

any help would be awesome thanks.

#31457 Running two versions of E-sword

Posted by Dennis Hagans on 16 September 2017 - 12:44 PM

Hello.

I have just upgraded to E-sword 11.x and downloaded a ton of English Bible versions for it.

I also moved the entire new E-sword directory our of program files x86 and did a clean install of 7.05 so that I now have two installs of E-sword.

at present, I am swapping the two E-sword directories in and out so I can run either one. The reason for doing this is that I have 10 bibles in E-sword 7.5 that I do not have for E-sword 11.x and they will not convert as they are password protected.

ASV, CEV, CLV, ESV, GNB, GW, HNV, KJVR, MKJV, MSG.

I looked for these in the downloads section but did not find them.

So is it possible to run two different versions of E-sword at the same time so I do not have to exit and swap as I am doing now?

I tried renaming the E-sword 7.5 directory to E-sword2 and renaming the E-sword.exe to E-sword2.exe I had E-sword 11.x up and running then launched E-sword2.exe and it did run but had 0 resources, it came up just a plain blank slate.

would something like running a virtual machine or dos-box work?

Thanks.

#30992 Italics not printing clear

Posted by Dennis Hagans on 08 July 2017 - 08:46 PM

Hey, Guys, I am trying to print out a few verses but when I get the printed page the italics are so light they are barely legible.

I am using e-sword 7.10 as I have so many modules for it.

anyway, I just got a new Epson ET-2650 printer and a large part of the printing I intended to do was Bible verses copied and pasted into word pad on windows 8.1

Any help would be much appreciated.
