e-Sword for Android on Chrome OS now allows importing Apple compatible modules from BibleSupport into e-Sword for Android running on Chrome OS devices.

Today I was finally able to get it to work. Not sure if Rick Meyer's team made an update to the Android version or not, but it does now work when it would not just a few weeks ago. T J Higgins outlined the method to use on Android devices: http://www.biblesupp...ion/?hl=android This same method now works on my Chrome OS laptops running e-Sword for Android as well.

Thanks to all who contributed to the conversation about this. And especially to the e-Sword development team for making e-Sword available on Android to start with.

I help provide tech support for students at a ministry training school, and some of those students only have a Chrome OS based laptop. This will be a great help for them.

Sorry for the earlier post. I found the answer to my own question. In Windows e-Sword, go to Bible - Analyze Verses to accomplish this.

Olaf,

E-Sword runs very well on all Chromebooks which can run the Google Play Store and Android apps. At present e-Sword will also install the built-in modules, but will not install 3rd modules like here on biblesupport.com.

I have it running on both of my Chromebook laptops and love it.

I appreciate all those trying to help with e-Sword for Android on ChromeOS devices. Does anyone actually have a Chromebook or other Chrome device and have IMPORT working? Like you, I know what "should" work, but so far no suggestions given actually work for IMPORT. This includes suggestions from the developer team (Rick, etc.).

I have e-Sword for Android IMPORTing on all my Android-native devices (phones, tablet) but not on either of my Chrome devices. I am an IT Support team member at a ministry training school so have to support some of our students who have Chromebooks.

Thanks in advance from any further suggestions, and especially from anyone using a Chromebook.

I also cannot get the Android e-Sword which is installed on my Chrome OS laptops to IMPORT my .cmti files. They were downloaded from biblesupport.com into the Chrome downloads folder but highlighting them and clicking OPEN does nothing. The same procedure on my Android phone and tablet works perfectly.
