I’m a Mac guy (or more accurately a Mac + iPad guy as far as eSword is concerned) and would no doubt find this useful to convert some of the older resources on here. Thanks for working on this.

As soon as I finish the build, I’ll get it uploaded here.  

It’s in early beta, but has been successful with everything I’ve tried.  I’ll get it here ASAP

I've been coming here for a number of years looking for and hoping someomne could create a Mac native converter for bibles and other resources. I recently have worked on a version of this for myself, and think I've hit on the toolset needed for a simple converter. It is currently a Mac applicartion and I have it under test, and hope to release to the app store this week, as well as create a downloadable binary.

 

Question:  Is this functionality still in demand? As I perused the forums of posts people have been making, they have .bbli and other *i modules that work natively in e-swordX, but I thought I'd ask before I go through the whole process of getting the app polished for release.

 

What say you all? Is this still a thing folks need?

So here we are two years later and there's still not a converter for Mac.  Can this be considered a basic necessity for the Mac version we paid for at some point?  Is there a feature request JIRA or some such where we can create and track a request?

I want to start a project to write a converter for Mac so we can enjoy these as well.  I don't have, want, nor can obtain Windows.  I want to be able to convert these natively.  

 

Then, in typical Open Source fashion, I want to share it all back with you guys.

 

To do so, I need some things.

 

1.  Each format and the technical specs for them (schemas, etc.)  i.e., How are they *today* in their proper formats?

2.  Any source code for the pre-existing windows-based converter so I can duplicate that process.  Whom do I contact for this?

3.  Information as to where to upload converted modules for everyone's use.

4.  As much help as I can get.

 

Where can we get these items so everyone can benefit from all biblesupport.com has to offer on all platforms?

Man, none of this really helps if you don't have a PC.  

 

We need a converter that runs natively on the Mac platform that can read all these awesome resources available on here, and import, convert, or otherwise mutilate for use in E-sword X.

 

Perhaps this should be an E-Sword X internal feature?
