Howdy,
I'm sixty-five and both a Vietnam veteran (Seabees) and retired law enforcement. I've resided in the same relatively sparsely populated county, located in north central Oregon, since 1964. My wife Marie and I have been married for thirty-three years. We are both retired and also parents and grandparents. My wife has a wonderful supportive and loving church family that professes conservative evangelical values.
I am just a man, who loves Jesus Christ. I have been using eSword for many, many years just for my own use. I see an old install disc in my computer desk cubby touting version 7.1. I am not an educated man in the world sense. I didn't know any of this Webb support existed until a very short time ago. I am after all these years still terribly ignorant of how to fully use this wonderful Bible software. Even the wonderful older eSword tutorials often baffled me. I am cautiously exploring this site and hope to be better equipped in the future in my study of His word.
Though I am usually very warm and outgoing I readily admit I am somewhat intimidated by all those here who appear to have vast stores of knowledge and seem quick to want to share it. I will probably be very quiet and tip toe around for quite some time as the subject matter here is very extensive. I'll pray for understanding that I may apply the techy stuff I learn here. Most of the articles here are to me “Rocket Science”. I am rather simple and formally uneducated in a world sense. Thank you all that have contributed ... what a wonderful gift He has given you.
