I am creating a NT module and I have the text in Word .rtf but I don't know how to edit or prepare the text to create the module?

 

I currently have the text as followed:

 

Matthew Chapter 1

1 The genealogy of....etc

2 Judah begot .... etc

3 etc etc etc

 

 

Every chapter starts with the same line and there is a space between each chapter.

 

Do I have to replace the "1" with "Mat 1:1"?

Do I remove all spaces between chapters?

Do I remove all the first lines of each chapter ("Matthew Chapter 1")?

 

Can someone please help me?

What is the easiest way to format every verse of the text in the correct numerical sequence (Book, Chapter, Verse)?

 

For example: replacing "1 The genealogy..." with "Mat 1:1 The genealogy..." but also every single verse after that with the correct format (Book, Chapter, Verse) 

 

Or I must do verse by verse manually? Is there a replace command that can help in this editing process?

I am formatting the my Bible text in ToolTip and the original format contains spaces between chapters and a heading for each chapter (see picture attached).

 

Do I need to remove all spaces and chapter headings in the text?

 

I had read the ToolTip guide numerous times and have not found the answer to this

I am getting a “Bad Reference” error on every first verse of every chapter  when trying to create a Bible module with ToolTip (see attached pic)

I assume I am missing something (symbol, break?) between chapters. But I have looked for an answer in the ToolTip guide and could not find anything.

Can someone please help me?

It is working but does not display italics in "Compare" mode  Why is that?

 

I was trying to use the text you sent me to create a bbli and it continues to give a "Bad Reference" as soon as it gets to Luke

I tried opening up the text with ToolTip, I tried copying/pasting the text and nothing.

So I had to convert the bblx into bbli with the eSword PC to Apple Module Converter.
