#34830 File Types

Posted by V67 on 09 December 2018 - 02:27 PM in e-Sword Questions & Answers

It would be nice to have a complete list of all e-sword standard files/ file types available, their specific purpose and association, pinned somewhere in the forum.

The ones I question are the 8 below:

ComboList.ocx

custom.dic

headings.en

headings.es

headings.pt

localize.lanx

RichEdit.ocx

vsth_ae.the

Any informational post should also add the standard:

Bookmarks.lstx

journal.jnlx

markup.ovlx

study.notx

topic.topx

File types:   .bblx   .cmtx   .dctx   .devx   .harx   .lexi   .lexx   .mapx   . refi   .refx   .topx   .ttf

Thanks for any help.  :)

#33420 Post e-Sword Module Requests Here

Posted by V67 on 19 April 2018 - 06:25 PM in Module Requests

I would like a Bible with the following:

   Hebrew Old Testament

   Hebrew New Testament

   English translation in both

Strong's numbers for English words and Hebrew words

Parsing or Morphological Analysis

I found a Hebrew Bible online that can be downloaded for free. I don't know if that means it is copyright free or not.

I also don't know if it could be used for a base for a module and/or if other info can be added. Here is the link I found it at:

#33092 Unable to scroll horizontally to view Greek Interlinear Bible text

Posted by V67 on 30 March 2018 - 06:56 PM in e-Sword Questions & Answers

A simple remedy that may add SOME additional words: zoom out.

Hold the computer control button down and scroll down on your mouse.

More of the words will come into view. There seems to be a limit though.

The reply from Chalkbrd will still have to be used for even longer verses.

I've been trying new things since I posted this. This is the easiest way I found:

Open Wordpad- (easier than ms word for this purpose, it is found under Windows Accessories)

Go into View Mode and set word wrap at: wrap to window

Select the verse in e-sword.

Copy verse: use Ctr C,  or right click- copy,  or right click- copy verse

Paste into Wordpad: use Ctr V,  or right click- paste,  or click the paste icon on the home page

All the boxes are neatly formatted for easy reading.

#33004 Flipping between two scriptures

Depends on what I'm doing. In most cases, for a quick back and forth, I use the bookmarks. If I want a detailed or longer look, I use the split screen (just to the left of the previous chapter button).

I believe the first passage you go to stays at the bottom split and the second passage goes to the top split. They both scroll independently.
