COMPANION BIBLE NOTES - Download the Companion Bible notes, as provided by Rick Meyers, from inside e-Sword, in the Download option, Commentaries, English, The Companion Bible (E. W. Bullinger), as from 2016/06/17. Refer all queries and requests for updates, direct to Rick Meyer at www.e-sword.net. For details of author, in the Download option, click on the Download, Commentaries, in the Info column of the relevant Commentary.

After the December 2021 update, there are two download options, (1) ew_bullinger_companion_bible.bbli. This is in HTML format. This is derived from THE COMPANION BIBLE with text modified, incorporating some notes by E.W. Bullinger into the text, together with additional notes. The Tab in the Bible window, is "EWB-CB", with description, "EW Bullinger Companion Bible". The "Bible", "Information" indicates: "EW Bullinger Companion Bible E. W. Bullinger’s Companion Bible, 1909". This works for e-Sword from version 11 and later.

(2) E.W. Bullinger Companion Bible .bblx This is applicable for earlier versions of e-Sword from version 9x and later. The tab in the Bible Window is again "EWB-CB", with description "EW Bullinger Companion Bible". The "Bible" "Information" option now indicates: "E. W. Bullinger's Companion Bible, 1909" However, the text is not the Authorised Version, but like the .bbli option, has the same modified notes added in the text. If you are running e-Sword after version 11, I suggest that you delete this .bblx and retain the .bbli version; because both Tab names and descriptions are identical.

E-Sword modules are loaded alphabetically, on the file name. As such, a .bbli file will load in e-Sword before a .bblx file with the same name. e-Sword will only load one instance of a module with the same abbreviation as described in the Details table of the database. Because the .bblx is loaded after the .bbli file, only the .bblx file will be reported when you look at the list of names inside e-Sword. If you are using the e-Sword version 11 and later, after you delete the .bblx file. Then e-Sword will report the presence of the .bbli file.

Rick Meyers says that by upgrading to have everything in the .xxxi format, this is a really good idea since the Unicode HTML modules are the only ones Rick Meyers, the designer of e-Sword, personally supports. The previous files, written with Rich Text (used in e-Sword 9, and later), is not portable between operating systems, and modules made for Rich Text are limited to the Microsoft PC. HTML modules are supported all the way back to e-Sword 11, so this probably covers 99% of the users still using e-Sword.

I uploaded this years ago. Hope someone finds it helpful The Companion bible. This file has the missing page 549 from most other files on the internet and page bookmarks.
