  • 08/23/26 Created and Uploaded a brpi module file for use on Android, Apple, Mac and e-Sword PC versions 11-15+

e-Sword BRP info
The Bible Reading Plan files can be placed in their own folder, such as C:\Program Files (x860\e-Sword\Bible Reading Plan files. Or in the User Files Location ...\Documents\e-Sword folder.
Access to Bible Reading Plans for e-Sword for Windows is from the "Tools", "Bible Reading..." option.

The option to select the Bible Reading Plan that had been downloaded and to be selected is provided in the drop down menu selection box alongside the icon to enable the user to browse to the entries to Bible Reading Plans in the relevant Folder. This is located in the bottom row of options in the Bible Reading window. Refer to Chapter 14: The Bible Reading Plan, pages 184-187, in the e-Sword User's Guide, Copyright @ 2014 by BibleSupport.com.

The option "Creating a Bible Reading Plan" is explained on page 187 of the e-Sword User's Guide (2014). The quick method to access this Guide is from the e-Sword for Windows, "Help" option.

A training module for the Bible Reading option is available for e-Sword for windows, in the training modules provided at https://www.e-sword.net/training.html in the option "Create a Bible reading plan to encourage you to read the Bible each day." This was initially developed for e-Sword for windows version 8 and earlier, which used Bible Reading Plans with the ".brp" filename extension. The similar options are applicable for e-Sword version 10.4 and later, which use the filename extension ".brpx".

This training module illustrates how to create a Bible Reading Plan to read the books of the New Testament in 3 months. The Bible to be read is selected from the listed Bibles, and can be changed by the user. This list of Bibles uses the Tab names of the Bibles that have been downloaded into e-Sword. The order of the tabs is derived from the alpha-numerical name of the Bibles.

Only a selection of the 66 books of the Bible, or from the OT, and NT, is provided for on this specific entry. It is possible that the option to browse to select books in the selected Bible (such as KJVA) from the Apocrypha or Deuterocanonical books, may not have been provided for up to e-Sword version 14.5.0 when this Bible Reading Plan was provided by Josh Bond. The order of the books in the Bible is as programmed in e-Sword, in the order of the books in the KJV.

The option to have five selections of readings for each day, such as from the books of Moses, the early Prophets, the Psalms, the later prophets and writings, the Gospels and Acts, and from the remaining NT writings, running in parallel cycles, has not been provided for in the current option to create a "New Bible Reading Plan" for e-Sword. Create such readings using 5 ranges of BRP readings, each listing the specific selections of chapters from the books you decide to include in the range of months that you want to use to read the books during your own reading cycle. Then select to read from each of your 5 BRP options each day.

The  52-week, Balanced, parallel daily Bible Reading Schedule, created by Rick Meyers can be seen at  https://www.thywordistruth.com/DBRS/DBRC.pdf

The books of the Apocrypha in KJVA would include the following selections of books and chapters: 1 Esdras (9), 2 Esdras (16), Tobit (14), Judith (16), 1 Maccabees (16), 2 Maccabees (15), 3 Maccabees (7), 4 Maccabees (18), Prayer of Manasseh (1), Wisdom (19), Sirach (51), Baruch (6).

A range of different pre-designed Bible Reading Plans, including readings from the Wisdom books, has been made available for access and download by members of bible support on the download option http://www.biblesupport.com/e-sword-downloads/categpry/9-bible-reading-plans/

Tj Higgins, why is the HTML file in this entry the one titled "a_365_day_chronological_reading_plan.brp" - I think you added the incorrect HTML BRP file to this entry, at http://www.biblesupport.com/e-sword-downloads/file/7875-balanced-bible-reading-plan
