This book is an ancient classic tracing the persecutions of Christian from New Testament times down through to more modern times. There 22 chapters in this work. Fox’s work presents us with many of the persecutions from Apostolic times through his time (1500s). Note that this topic cannot be treated correctly without understanding the Roman Catholic’s presumption that it is the only true church, and their efforts at persecuting and killing everyone who didn’t submit to Rome’s presumed authority. This means that Catholicism is “the mother of” or caused most of the post-apostolic persecutions of God’s people. We never see an “inquisition” in the Bible of heretics. Niether Jesus nor any of His followers ever killed people who disagreed with their doctrine. This persecution of dissenters is a viciousness which is distinct to Roman Catholicism, and is completely foreign to biblical “true” Christianity.
