The Bible Through Intent offers a refreshing, clarity-driven approach to Bible study. Instead of offering interpretation or opinion, this resource simply exposes the author's and God's intent behind each verse using a structured four-part format:
  • Text: The actual verse from Scripture.
  • Revealer Word: A keyword (e.g., for, that, to, lest, because) that signals the intent within the verse.
  • Question From Context: A question that arises from the structure and wording of the verse.
  • Intent From Context: A direct and insightful explanation of the author's or God's intended meaning behind the text.
For example, using 1Jn 3:8 and 9, the structure will be as follows:
Text: He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1Jn 3:8
Revealer Word: that
Question From Context: Why was the Son of God manifested?
Intent From Context: The Son of God was manifested to destroy the works of the devil.
Text: Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1Jn 3:9
Revealer Word: for
Question From Context: Why do those born of God not commit sin?
Intent From Context: Those born of God do not commit sin because God’s seed remains in them.

This format allows you to study the Bible with sharper focus and deeper understanding, enriching your knowledge without adding layers of human interpretation. It helps readers understand not just what the Bible says, but why it says it. Whether you're a student, teacher, or lifelong learner of the Word, this module will strengthen your understanding with simplicity and clarity.
This New Testament edition is part of a broader work covering both Old and New Testaments, and is also available in two additional versions:
  • Devotional Format: with meditative prompts for personal application
  • Full Commentary Format: for in-depth, study-focused readers
This is a new and ongoing project. Thoughtful feedback, reviews, and suggestions are warmly welcomed to help improve future versions. (Details in the module’s comment section)
