#6655 Reference Books (topx) - Jesus vs Muhammad

Posted by hendo1986 on 20 February 2012 - 07:45 PM in New e-Sword Downloads

This is a rather infantile chart, and im in no way sympathetic towards Islam, but when trying to save a soul one should so it in a manner of non antagonistic mildness and in a coherent way. This chart is a rather Childish attack on Islam..and if seen by a Muslims would only serve to repell them from the message of Jesus Christ.I appreciate the time spent by the module compiler,i realy do but per usual with comparison charts, and Rose publishing are terrible for this,it comes across as bigoted.

Answers From Genesis

To much of the scientific world today, the universe is a great mystery—and a fortuitous, evolutionary accident. Indeed the predominant model of the universe leaves the Creator entirely out of the picture. We know the Bible tells a much different story, however. This series of articles explores the creation of the universe as recorded in the Bible and examines how a great deal of scientific research—instead of contradicting the Bible—actually confirms the truths God inspired to be recorded in the Bible.

#7626 Reference Books (topx) - Answers From Genesis

Firstly Dave Im looking to mislead nobody,Im not a member of the United Church of God and have no connections to the sect or any of their off shoots in any way.So please retract your statement that im trying to mislead anyone.I merley made the module in an attempt to help biblesuport...im also working on an number of other modules by main stream commentators like John Stevenson.Just because one doesnt agree with the subject matter doesnt mean its useless or that you have to berate a person who was trying to do a good thing by creating a module that looked reasonably quick to make and felt bad about the lack.of contribution he has made to the website till now and stumbled upon somthing that whilst working on the longer projects...would atleast prove to be  some sort of contribution. And as for the name theres not alot I can do about them choosing the same name as,I assume you are reffering to the creation science magazine 'Answers Genesis of which i am  a regular reader and frquent  the website ton a regular basis too.

#10865 The Gospel Project

Posted by hendo1986 on 13 July 2012 - 09:38 AM in e-Sword Questions & Answers

Edited...It would appear 'The Gospel Project' is taught from the reformed perspective upon further study, however it seems to merley hint at it,most likely to make it marketable to a larger audience,so in amendment to my origional post, are there any courses similar to TGP that emphaticaly teach from the reformed perspective?

I thought caliber converts the opposite way...i.e to epub, not from epub to another format?I find the qualuty of ebook produced with caliber a bit substandard to be honest, prefer mobipocket. But Caliber also acts as a library and the details of the files can be easily edited at any time,it also has an inbuilt ebook reader...all of which make it a handy wee tool for zilch.

You're saying other ebook formats but this chap is asking about converting from ebook to a format that will open in tool tip tool(i assume thats why he's asking)making caliber useless for the purpose he is needing it?

I think i might J...ive found a nice study guide series for the institutes and ive managed to get a hold if the library of christian classics edtwo volume edition institutes(the Battles/McNeil edition which is so much better than the bevridge edition)Are there any stdy guides for the rest of calvins works you would recommend..better still in module format?
Just splashed iut on Bavinck's four volume 'Reformed Dogmatics' set which will keep me busy for sure...but i just liked the firmat of the gospel project and the fact the sylabus is arranged for you means all you have to do is pick it up and read. The questions they intetsperse throughout it for personal reflection are also very handy, helping you think about what your reading and adding a practical theology element to the study.
