#17509 Can't view manual inside e-Sword

Posted by Widsith on 18 June 2013 - 09:35 PM in e-Sword Questions & Answers

Thanks for the idea.  I tried renaming it but that didn't work.  In fact, I found there already was a PDF by that name in that directory, and it didn't work with that one either.  It may be because I'm running e-Sword under Linux with the Wine emulator.  Oh well, it's a minor issue and everything else seems to be working.

#17506 How to not display scripture references in bible view

Posted by Widsith on 18 June 2013 - 08:26 PM in e-Sword Questions & Answers

I think I know what David is talking about.  I'd like to turn off those scripture references too.  For instance, I copied this directly from the Bible window:

Joh 3:16  "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Joh 3:17  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Joh 3:18  Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Is there a way to NOT display Joh 3:16  Joh 3:17  Joh 3:18 etc. before each verse, but just show the text?

#17505 Can't view manual inside e-Sword

The e-Sword User's Guide PDF download page says "Press F1 to View the e-Sword Manual if you have e-Sword 10.x installed."  Well, I have 10.1.0 installed, and I've downloaded the PDF of the User's Guide and put it in the same directory where downloaded modules go.  But pressing F1 does nothing.  It does not bring up the manual.  Neither does choosing "Contents" from the "Help" drop-down menu.  Do I have to put the PDF in a different directory or do something else to get this to work?
