Homiletics Sermon Helps
William Robertson Nicoll

e-Sword Version:
9.x - 10.x

Tab Name:

This is not a dictionary.

This large commentary "contains outlines, expositions, and illustrations of Bible texts, with full references to the best homiletic literature".

This homiletical classic is similar to the Biblical Illustrator on a smaller scale. The end of each section contains the bibliography references to famous authors and sermons. This multi-volume commentary is suitable for "Bible Expositors"—those who teach and preach and study.

The Expositor's Dictionary of Texts was compiled/edited by William Robertson Nicoll who also edited the Expositor's Bible Commentary and the Sermon Bible. Assisting Nicoll in the editing process was Jane Stoddart and James Moffatt.

  • Uploaded Mac/e-sword 11 version.

This work is rich in content providing insight that at times is provocative but never the less challenges the mind to comtemplate the scriptures. A good read. Recommended.
