#25768 MySword for Droid Modules

Posted by pfpeller on 16 August 2015 - 08:42 AM

Hi Peter

I just want to ask if we can have a module of this book Basic Biblical Hebrew Grammar for Mysword.
I really want to study Hebrew Grammar, and if you have an alternative book for Hebrew grammar that will work in Mysword, I'm really thankful. May you help me and others for this matter.

May God bless you..

tonton,

Is that module available on this site for e sword?

Blessings,

Peter

#19079 Quetions about MySword Features

Posted by pfpeller on 15 October 2013 - 04:22 PM

The module download tool tips should work in the free version of MySword.  If they don't let us know which module does not have the scripture reference links.

See this link for a list of features for that premium and deluxe add to MySword:  http://www.mysword.i...ysword/features

In either premium or deluxe you can highlight a word and then hold down on the "D" at the bottom to look it up in one of your pre defined dictionaries.

I do not use highlights, so I can't answer that question concerning books.  The above link might answer it.

Blessings,

Peter

#19008 Can I get the notes that I made in Pocket eSword over to MySword?

Posted by pfpeller on 09 October 2013 - 10:01 PM

ctrl,

I am not sure what the database format for pocket e sword was.

Was there ever a way to convert pocket e sword notes to e sword?  I do not recall that there was.

#18580 NIV, NASB, NLT and AMP on MySword

Posted by pfpeller on 11 September 2013 - 07:08 PM

WHY CAN"T WE SIMPLY *PURCHASE* STANDARD BIBLE VERSIONS FOR MYSWORD!!!??? - ARGUABLY THE BEST BIBLE APP FOR ANDROID!!!

There are *pathetic* Bible apps on Android that allow you to purchase NIV, NLT, NASB, etc. Why not MySword!!!???

Dan,

I do not know all of the details, but the developers of MySword are based in the Phillipines.  This may present difficulties.

There are some really good recent translations based on the critical text (ISV, LEB) available for MySword freely (along with many others).

There are also some excellent majority text translations like Logos and WPNT.

I know it is frustrating, but you either have to make the modules yourself, use the scripts above, or use the free ones.

I agree with you, that MySword is the best Bible app for android.

Blessings,

Peter

#18278 MySword for Droid Modules

Posted by pfpeller on 18 August 2013 - 09:32 AM

Hi Peter,

How are the creators of MySword doing?  Have you been in contact with them recently?  They were always so gracious and helpful when I contacted them but I wonder how they are.

Blessings,

Ken

Hi Ken,

I have talked to them just a little recently.... mostly concerning beta testing.  I did ask them about the Typhoon.   It sounds like it weakened and did not impact them seriously.  I am very thankful for them.  MySword is an amazing tool!

#18002 esword for galaxy note

Posted by pfpeller on 27 July 2013 - 12:17 PM

Is there esword for galaxy note

No,

There is a program called MySword (http://www.mysword.info/).  MySword is not associated with e sword.

Also in the google play store:  https://play.google....d.mysword&hl=en

We have MySword modules at this site in a separate downloads area.  http://www.biblesupp...ysword-modules/

MySword is a great program.  The only major downside is that there are no premium modules available.

Blessings,

Peter

#17964 6 Lies People Believe about Divine Healing - Free on Kindle Limited Time

Posted by pfpeller on 23 July 2013 - 09:33 PM

All, I read this book a couple of months ago.  I did not agree with everything, but it was a good reminder that God still heals today.  It is written by a missionary in Peru (Steve Bremner).  It was a very easy read and an encouragement to keeping on asking, seeking, and knocking.

http://www.amazon.co...tmm_kin_title_0

1Cor 1:7 so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,

The furthest thing from Paul's mind would have been the cessation of the gifts.

The Holy Spirit distributes "gifts of healing" as He wills (1Co 12:11).

Exod 15:26 And he said, “If you carefully listen to the voice of Yahweh your God and you do what is right in his eyes and give heed to his commands and you keep all his rules, then I will not bring about on you any of the diseases that I brought about on Egypt, because I am Yahweh your healer. (LEB)

Peter

#17281 MySword for android

Posted by pfpeller on 04 June 2013 - 09:59 AM

He charges money for this program that leverages public domain material that was scanned/proofread by volunteers like myself and won't even fix a price but hides in flowery language calling it "seed". Makes me wonder how the IRS perceives his "seed" money.

Ernie,

The developers of MySword are not from the United States.

The value of MySword for most of us here is not only the modules that come with the pogram, but the hundreds available here.  Many of also make our own modules for personal use.

I have donated foe the deluxe version of MySword because it is that valuable to me.  I can research anywhere on my phone or tablet.  Every book becomes an audio book I can listen to while driving.

If it is not worth it to you, you are under no obligation to donate.  You can use the free version or delete the app and use something else.

Blessings,
Peter

#17228 How many Modules

Posted by pfpeller on 30 May 2013 - 09:07 PM

Hi all,

I have some questions about MySword.  I have a Tablet with a Deluxe edition of MySword.

1.  How many Modules can MySword handle before it crashes?

2.  Can I put all the Modules on my storage/extSDCard/mysword folder and how do I go about doing that?

3.  I have a problem that says "Unfortunately, MySword for Android has stopped." How do I fix this?

4.  why does the modules go to this folder "storage/sdcard0/mysword" ?  what is this folder connected to ? is it the hard drive? or an extra (separate) storage area that is not connected to the hard drive?

thank you

Patchworkid

1.  I have over 6 GB of MySword modules installed and MySword runs fine.

2.  Yes, you can change the storage location from within MySword.  Go to preferences and "Select Modules Path".  Then select Custom data path.  Change the path to /mnt/extSdCard/mysword.  It is helpful to install the ES File Explorer app.  You can use this to select the modules path.

3.  I am not sure of the issue here.  I do not get this very often.  Maybe you installed a bad module?  It is best to contact MySword at their site (www.mysword.info) for these types of issues.  They are very good about getting back in touch with technical support.

4.  This is the internal sd card.  I am not sure about how this internal storage is alocated.  You can install a separate external SD card and change MySword to install the modules there.

Blessings,

Peter

#17173 How to create MySword dictionary

Posted by pfpeller on 26 May 2013 - 01:32 PM

hi

I just got a Samsumg Galaxy phone and Tablet.  I have put My Sword on it and will look into making all my modules for MySword. That will be fun.

Please Peter make the manual on converting e-Sword modules to My Sword. and all things you know about MySword.

I am new at MySword.  Excited and ready to learn all I can to use MySword to it's fullest.

thanks

Patchworkid

Patch,

There are many things you can do with MySword that you cannot do with any other mobile software.  Any files you convert to MySword ... you can listen to as an audio book (if you have the Deluxe version of MySword).  The multiple windows feature for the Deluxe version is the best in mobile Bible study software that I have seen.  There are many great features that you will discover and they are adding more all the time.

#16814 greek font messed up

Posted by pfpeller on 02 May 2013 - 03:44 PM

Cambridge Greek. Don't know how to download more fonts or where to put them if available from outside source.

boone1962,

If you

Open the MySword app,

Goto settings

Select Download Modules

Select Fonts

Then download the various Greek  font options

Then go back to MySword main screen

Open the MySword preferences

Select Fonts

Select Alternate Greek Fonts

I have GalatiaSil selected and CambridgeGreek appears to display fine.

I hope this helps.

Blessings,

Peter
