#28588 Updated New Heart English Bible

Posted by Jeff D. Huddleston on 14 August 2016 - 06:38 PM

This is the updated New Heart English Bible, 2016. There have been many changes since the first NHEB, and I believe for the better. This translation follows the Nestle-Aland 28th Edition Greek New Testament. Of all the modern public domain translations, this may be the best.

#26748 eSword Dumper

Posted by Jeff D. Huddleston on 09 January 2016 - 05:39 AM

Does anyone know how I can convert my e-Sword modules (9 and up) back to editable text? My computer crashed and I lost many of my original texts that I used to make the modules. Some of my modules have a few defects and I'd love to fix them, but I don't want to have to start from scratch again (I'm a fulltime+ student (16 hours) and part time carpenter so I just don't have the time). I know there is a module dumper for e-Sword 8 but I don't know about 9 and up, or if I can convert modules back to 8 and then dump them. Thanks.

The 2014 Edition of the American Standard Version of the Holy Bible (ASV-2014)
Based on the 1901 American Standard Version's Old and New Testaments.

The Old Testament portion of the ASV-2014 follows the Hebrew Masoretic Text; the New Testament portion of the ASV-2014 follows the Greek Textus Receptus (Scrivener 1894): however, in this translation, I have adopted some readings from other ancient Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek authorities that are based on either much older manuscripts and/or readings that enjoy much more support from a greater number of witnesses.

THE AMERICAN STANDARD VERSION THE HOLY BIBLE CONTAINING THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENTS TRANSLATED OUT OF THE ORIGINAL TONGUES BEING THE VERSION SET FORTH A.D. 1611 COMPARED WITH THE MOST ANCIENT AUTHORITIES AND REVISED A.D. 1881-1885
Newly Edited by the American Revisory Committee A.D. 1901
The 2014 Edition of the American Standard Version of the Holy Bible (ASV-2014), edited by Jeff D. Huddleston.

The ASV-2014 translation and e-Sword module are hereby placed in the Public Domain.

#19841 Bibles - American Standard Version of the Holy Bible (1901)

e-Sword Version: 9.x - 10.x

The 1901 American Standard Version of the Holy Bible (ASV-1901): This e-Sword version of the ASV corrects the errors commonly found in the standard e-text versions of the ASV. This e-Sword module of the American Standard Version implements a great deal of formatting in an effort to create an onscreen text that very much resembles that of the printed editions of the ASV. This e-Sword version has all of the words of Christ in red lettering, and all New Testament references to the Old Testament are in bold type. I have also utilized [square brackets] instead of italics for words supplied by the translators. The 1901 American Standard Version of the Holy Bible is a public domain work and this e-text and e-Sword module of the ASV-1901 is hereby placed in the public domain.

This is my effort to create an error free electronic text of this great translation. Great care, a host of techniques, and thousands of hours have been put into this work to ensure its integrity; should you find any errors please private message me at my American Standard Version of the Holy Bible - 1901 Facebook page here: https://www.facebook...StandardVersion -- please include the book name, chapter, and verse, and a short description of the error. If you would like a plain text copy of this ASV text for other uses (printed editions, online uses, etc.) please feel free to contact me. Any and all suggestions to improve this e-text version of the ASV-1901 are very much welcome. - Watchman Jeff D. Huddleston.
