UAC has probably put them in the VirtualStore

You should be able to move them to the same folder as the other resouces

C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore etc

Never would have thought of looking there. Thanks. I'll move them to the correct spot and then enjoy renaming!

Activate e-Sword.

From the main menu, select Options -> Resource settings...

At the bottom of the Resources Options window you will see the 'Resources Location.' Note the location and go there with file explorer. Don't click the folder icon because that is for you to set the location of the resources if for some reason you moved them.

Thanks but no go - my Resources location is the standard installation location C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword, but I'm missing Bibles and Commentaries, even though they show up in e-Sword.

I have a sneaking suspicion that these files have been installed elsewhere -- maybe under my user profile in App Data or something.

Rick Meyers has changed the tab-names to longer versions in the updates.

You can change the tab-name back with a SQLite Database Browser

https://sqlitebrowser.org/

File/open database and browse to the e-Sword map and select "all files (*)"

Then select clarke and select Browse Data and Details.

Change the Abbreviation Adam Clarke to Clark.

Then File and exit and Save

Be careful that you NOT change the default tap-names that are in the oldest install as the KJV and Hebrew OT(That is not the same file as HOT).

I'm trying this approach, but I cannot find the e-Sword map.  What's it called?  I'm in the standard e-Sword install directory.

As a matter of some curiosity, I have installed many commentaries, but I cannot find where they are being stored.

An easier way to do this is to lookup

e-Sword Tab Renamer 1.5

This will allow you to change how the tabs are displayed.  Just Ctrl + Click on the link and it will open the download location.

It isn't working; it is hardly finding any of the commentaries (I think it found one - the Treasury of Scriptural Knowledge).  So, I may have to go with the other option.

Thanks for the replies! I'll try the renamer tool soon(ish).
