X means ?

14 April 2018 - 08:01 PM

Sometimes in Strong's references (KJV+) there is a definition like this: (and l'm copying it from e-Sword):

H5315   (Strong)

From H5314; properly a breathing creature, that is, animal or (abstractly) vitality; used very widely in a literal, accommodated or figurative sense (bodily or mental): - any, appetite, beast, body, breath, creature, X dead (-ly), desire, X [dis-] contented, X fish, ghost, + greedy, he, heart (-y), (hath, X jeopardy of) life (X in jeopardy), lust, man, me, mind, mortality, one, own, person, pleasure, (her-, him-, my-, thy-) self, them (your) -selves, + slay, soul, + tablet, they, thing, (X she) will, X would have it.

Can someone please tell me what the 'X' is for here?        Thank You, Pops1

Will this work?

Does anyone know whether or not l can use this commentary "Harry Ironside Commentaries on the New Testament and Prophets (Updated) 2.0" in e-sword x. If so, please tell me how. lf no, oh well. Also, a few weeks ago l started a thread here and now it's no longer needed. Should l delete it? How to do that? Thanks, Pops1

e-Sword to e-Sword X

15 January 2018 - 09:22 PM

A few weeks ago I got a MacBook Pro with High Sierra 10.13. Had a PC with Windows 10. An older version of e-Sword (9.6 I think). Updated it as needed. I just bought e-Sword X 4.5.1. Can someone please help me put the notes and resources on here that were on there? Apple Support helped me convert files, etc. onto here and I see them in what's called 'documents' but I don't how to get them here and useable. The e-Sword Apple Converter I downloaded says this: You can’t open the application “convert.exe” because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on macOS.

I sure hope I can get those. Appreciate any help. Thank You, Pops1
