In Topic: How can I read books in e-sword?

No not the MAC version you need to also have the Windows version which is version 11.2 installed which can be installed using Crossover MAC. I had things confused in my prior post

Here is the link to download the PC version

https://www.e-sword.net/downloads.html

Yes, I was able to download the Windows version, but unfortunately it's too complicated for me to use the Windows version with Crossover, use the convertor on the files, try to put them in the right place, then find them and use them. I'm just not good with all that stuff, so am moving on.

Thank you for trying to help; it's not you, it's me :).

You need to have the latest version of e-Sword X for the MAC installed in order for the converter to install, here is link to download and install e-Sword X:

Thank you, but yes I do have and have had the latest version!

You need to install e-Sword in addition to the converter.

Sorry, I should have said, I do have E-Sword installed, have had it for years. I have the newest Mac version, 6.3 (24).

You can download a program called Crossover Mac which will allow you to run Windows software on a MAC.

The program is available from a company called Codeweavers at the following link:

https://www.codeweav...s/crossover-mac

Thank you; I just downloaded and installed Crossover Mac, but again this does not work. When trying to run the .exe convertor file I get an error message saying I do not have E-Sword installed, or have an earlier version than 11.2 (which is a Windows file).

Any suggestions on where to go from here?

I cannot run the Apple Convertor on my Mac computer. Macs don't run .exe files.

You have to install the "Bootcamp" program, which in essence is another operating system (Windows) that you can boot to.

Or you have to use "Wine" program, which did not and will not install properly on my Mac in order to run the .exe convertor program.

In essence, the "Apple Convertor" at https://e-sword.net/extras.html does not work on a Mac.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? Surely somebody is using the .refx and .topx files on a Mac?
