#20494 how to create a link to specific bible?

Posted by tengwer on 17 February 2014 - 07:03 PM

I got the answer from the MySword team and it works! :D Here is their reply:

You can actually check the generated HTML of Journal entry with Bible link which can be created by Premium/Deluxe users using any SQLite manager/editor. Anyway the syntax is:

Rom 8:28

You can place the specific module abbreviation after a slash. You can also include the KJV before the as it is just display text.

#17054 looking for concise intros to bible books

Posted by tengwer on 20 May 2013 - 12:27 PM

Hi, Tengwer,

Here's a couple of links:

**NT Intros and surveys: try out this link to my website. I'd recommend starting with Pearlman, but all of them are good.

**OT Intros and surveys: here's the OT link to my website. Again, Pearlman is good.

**Full Bible Intros and surveys: here's the link for surveys on both testaments (all the books of the Bible). The ones by Barrows and/or Tidwell are especially good (as is the one by Alice Hodgkins).

I hope this is helpful.

Thank you! Pearlman is excellent. I will also look at the others.

#15750 Detecting Strong's numbers in user module

Posted by tengwer on 10 February 2013 - 04:57 AM

I have created a dictionary module using "New User Module ..." from file menu. It has as its topics the strong's numbers and content under each number. So when I click on G1 under topics it switches to the content I have under that heading. This works fine and if I click on a Strong's number from another resource I can click on my user module and it goes to that same strong's number. So far so good.

But within the content under each heading there are strong's numbers such as G1492 etc. I was hoping that these numbers would automatically be hyperlinked but this is not the case. How do I hyperlink the strong's numbers within the content itself so that the default strong's resource open when I click on it?

Also how do I create a hyperlink for certain strong's numbers that I want to click on and have it go to that reference within the user module itself?

#15597 Convert Pulpit commentary (verse by verse version)

Posted by tengwer on 02 February 2013 - 02:50 PM

I found a TheWord version of the Pulpit Commentary that is verse by verse. There is also a TheWord version that is section by section. The already converted Pulpit Commentary for MySword is the section by section version. I want the vs by vs version so you don't have to keep scrolling to get to a specific verse. I tried to convert the TheWord vs by vs version I have into a MySword module and found that it was encrypted (not sure why a public domain work would be encrypted?). Is there anyone who has a vs by vs MySword module or does anyone know how to create one from the encrypted TheWord module I have?
