#3592 Klingon Bible

Posted by exscentric on 10 November 2011 - 11:17 AM

I received an email from Rick saying that he had never seen a Klingon Bible in e-Sword format.

I don't know why the resource I have, which dates to mid-2006,  is password protected.

That shouldn't be hard to understand, the Klingons didn't want it to fall into the hands of the federation!  :-)

How about the e-sword directions in a refx or topx file so I know where it is :-)

That or at least I would like to see the ability to put these collections of books into a directory of their own in the topics list to diminish the clutter.

#2778 Speak To Wright Tool

I've tried an older Dragon and another.  I tend towards mumbling so found that it didn't do all that well.  When I over pronounced my words it did a pretty good job.

Know a couple of things.

1. You have to put in all punctuation, returns etc.

2. Some of them can learn from you.  When it makes a mistake you can tell it what you meant and it will learn that for future reference.  I would highly recommend that feature.

I found it to slow to replace my good typing skills - I'm always in a hurry :-)

I think if I had worked on my speech a little it would have been fantastic.

#2078 An e-Sword Magazine, what do you think?

I would also suggest for free - might get volunteers easier if you need articles written.  If you are doing it all yourself, then your choice though I for one probably would not subscribe.  You could pick up advertisers I would think with the circulation a free one could get with e-sword folks.

www.ccmag.com might give you some ideas - they were a printed mag by subscription and converted to free online a few years ago.  Links to their mags are just under the main title.

#1436 Module Robot dig - Christian content - Volume 2

The exe and chm files do not work.  They are in the other big download so you can delete all but the pdfs.  I haven't looked at all of them but many are from the 1800s.

#566 Sermon Illustrations

Quoted from the manual you can download from this site is below however it does not say what to do if the option in tools is greyed :-(  Will snoop further

Using Sermon Illustrations
Sermon Illustrations are helpful for preachers preparing a sermon. Sermon illustrations can bring to life a sermon, illustrating concepts that might otherwise be difficult to explain. Many users forget that e-Sword has a built-in Sermon Illustrations database, which is the reason we're discussing it here.
To open the Sermon Illustrations window, select Tools/Sermon Illustrations from the main menu.
You may select a Sermon Illustration and then click the Copy Sermon Illustration button to copy the text. You may then paste the text into your Topic Notes, Study Notes, or any word processor.
The Illustration Filter in the above screen displays how you may filter and search sermon illustrations. Sermon Illustrations are organized by Scripture and Category. You may also search by keyword.
To edit, add, or delete Sermon Illustrations, click the Illustration Maintenance tab.
