#44208 6,600 Puritan & Non-Conformist Resources for Module Creation.

Posted by davejonescue on 20 March 2023 - 11:44 AM

Hey, David,

I took a look at your website; all I saw was the availability to download everything at one time. If you had the capability to download by individual title, it might encourage some module builders to step up and give it a try (one title at a time). One mega-download is rather intimidating.

We do apologize for that, but at this time we do not have the facility to store or expand 6,600+ titles for individual download. The download as it is, are individual titles, but all contained in a single folder in the respective formats. We didnt see this as a burden, since most computers can handle 1-3gbs easily; and, a person could download it, select the titles they desire, and delete the rest if they choose. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this may cause some, but this is kind of the best we can offer at this time. We mainly posted this to support the expansion of titles for E-Sword and theWord, but, we do not have the current time ourselves to devote to the task. If nobody would like to download it, that is perfectly OK too. We just thought we would make the resource known. Hope you are having a great and blessed day.

God Bless and Best Regards,

Project Puritas

Here is a list of authors, titles contained in the folder.

#44202 6,600 Puritan & Non-Conformist Resources for Module Creation.

Hello all. A couple of brothers and I created a free software called https://www.puritansearch.org/

As a result, we have about 6,600 Puritan and Non-Conformist resources in EPUB, HTML, PDF, and DOCX. On behalf of Project Puritas, I would like to extend an invitation to you all to create as many modules as you like with them. All we ask is that you do not alter the attribution page. Those works can be found at https://sites.google...ct-puritas/home

Hope everyone is having a blessed day.

#40885 Seeking to gain understanding of "New Age" Philosophy-beliefs

Posted by davejonescue on 02 May 2021 - 04:36 PM

If there are resources here in e-Sword I would prefer this source to authors who folllow These philosophies and beliefs.  Thank you in advance for your consideration and sharing.

Hello, here is (and for the first time that I have seen) a systematic exposition of Wiccan Theology from a practicing Wiccan (who also happens to be a Ph.D.) While we will disagree with 99% of the stuff he says, this isnt a tool to gain knowledge of our understanding of God, but, to hear what Wiccans believe from their own mouth. This helps us to better understand them when we minister to them. I would love to make this a E-Sword resource, but it is copyrighted video, and I doubt the person would allow it to be made into a module simply to be rebuked. But, Wicca is the foremost New Age Religion practiced today, so here is a good overview of many of their beliefs.

Another good resource is "Kingdom of the Cults" by Walter Martin. His six hour lecture series on the subject can be listened to online at Blue Letter Bible:

#40869 transferring to another computer

Posted by davejonescue on 27 April 2021 - 07:29 PM

On my computer, the paid modules are kept in a separate folder in "virtualstore." Your computer may be different. The way I found my files, is I looked at what the name of one of my premium modules were, for example, "nicot.cmtx" and I did a search in my "locate files" section of my PC by typing in the name of the module file. It took about 10 minutes to go through all my computers files, but then it will pop up with the path. Simply track down how to follow that path, then you will reach your files, then just copy and paste into the folder of your choosing.

The exact path on my computer (PC, Windows 10) is the following:

C:\Users\"your user name"\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword

#40827 Where are Premium Modules Stored on Computer? (Windows 10)

They most likely in a windows folder called AppData

Thank you. I found them. For me, in Windows 10 it is the following:
C:\Users\"your user name"\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword

#35814 Post e-Sword Module Requests Here

This would take some time, and experience.  Both I dont have much of.  The commentaries available to the Open Source community seem to be at a stand still, since of course, the hard work of so many individuals have made the processing of every available resource already a reality.  But there is one commentary that would take extreme expertise, especially since it is littered with Hebrew, Greek, and Latin.  Still, it is regarded by many scholars as one of the finest commentaries ever regarding etymology and word backgrounds.  It is the ICC.  International Critical Commentary.  As of right now, about 40 out of the present 60 volumes are open source. I have added all Public Domain copies to a single page on archive .org.  I will leave the link below should anyone want to attempt it.  Have a great day/evening and God Bless.

#21191 e-Sword as a portable application

Posted by davejonescue on 26 May 2014 - 10:14 PM

If this is the case that the resources can be separate from the program and yet be used together ( like having the program on your computer, and the resources on a flash drive) than making a portable app with Cameyo may have just got a lot easier. It would probably be better to do the full install, program, and resources when building your app, but Cameyo, I believe turns your portable hardware into a hardrive, or something like that. Pretty much it makes programs you usually have to do full installs with, into apps. This is all theoretical, but if you have a little time you might want to give it a shot. You could make an app out of just the program (E-Sword) and keep your resources in a separate folder on the same Flash Drive. If both can be separate and run at the same time, you could have all you need on one flash drive, but in seperate folders. I don't see why this couldn't work, theoretically. Like I said, I am going to attempt it. I am going to try to download as many resources as I can, and do a full install when building my app. Ill keep you guys posted. God Bless

Also. Once the app is built. You can simply copy and paste to transfer, if it works, to give to your friends.
