Except for kjv.bblx, kjv+.bblx, tsk.cmtx, strong.dctx, robertson.harx, and crockett.harx, I've moved all my bibles, commentaries, dictionaries, harmonies, etc to My Documents\e-Sword folder and set e-Sword (from Options>Resource) to read from the My Documents\e-Sword folder. Everything seems to be working just fine. I'm sure it's also possible to move it to a USB drive.

#2690 Files for uploading?...please zippp it, or exe it !
Posted by dyan on 22 October 2011 - 06:06 AM
Hi,
A kind request to all Module Builders, File Uploaders: Please, if possible, upload files in either a compressed file format (i.e. zip, 7z) or a self-installing compressed file format (i.e. exe), especially if the files are in more that a couple of Megabytes.
Some of you have superfast broadband and can probably download the whole internetz in a few hours, and don't realize that a lot of the others suffer from a rare disease called slow connectionitis.
So, kindly keep us in mind, when uploading files.
Many thanks
Dyan

#2397 Help with bible with all 4 Greek documents (Variants), Strongs, Morphology
Posted by dyan on 02 October 2011 - 04:22 PM
I think he means something like this [and your note goes here] and you continue talking here [and these are a little disruptive] but you can keep adding them [anytime you want to expand your thoughts].
Josh,
I was referring to the new (e-sword v 9.7.0 onwards) inline comments, which have pop-ups when hovered over by the mouse,
The format for inputing this is still not released.
#2305 Modifying eSword's "ToolTip Font..."

Hey Dave,
It sure seems to be a bug. Only the size changes, everything else remains the same.

#2048 Convert Study.not to ver 9.x
Posted by dyan on 13 September 2011 - 02:37 PM
Hi,
The e-Sword program itself converts old study notes (.not) and old topic notes (.top).
All you have to do is navigate from the main menu, click on Open...an file explorer window opens...then navigate to where your old .not or .top files are...
besides the box for file name you will find a dialogue box....choose Old Study Notes File(.not) and open
This will automatically convert the file to e-S 9x format
Thanks

#253 Common features I wish e-Sword had...

I agree wholeheartedly with all that you have said, and would like to add a few more things.
1) Global search across commentaries, dictionaries, notes, and topic file.
2) The ability to search Greek or Hebrew words
If all these changes were implemented this would take e-Sword to the next level.
Besides, these, a few more cosmetic changes would improve the overall user experience.
1) A single menu button (with a slide down menu) on the icon toolbar, getting ride of the menu bar altogether.
2) The ability to toggle the title bar of each pane (once a user is familiar with e-sword, he would not require a title bar, telling him which pane is the commentaries, dictionaries, etc)
3) The ability to color tabs according to resource type
4) A single row Tab bar, with a slider button at the end, which slides out to show all tabs, and which can be set open or closed position.
