In the database Matt. 1:1 which reads: "Detta är boken om Jesu Kristi, Davids sons, Abrahams sons, släkttavla."; Looks like this:

What kind of cryption or coding is used?

How can I crypt/decrypt or code/decode?

(The text is in Swedish language.)

Kamau Mweru,
if you were to browse to the file on your PC, and view the file module with Notepad++ you will probably see the application that was used to create the file identified clearly right at the very beginning of the file. Each manufacturer probably makes use of a number of different programs, which carry different copyright details.  These tend to be updated and changed on an ongoing basis.

The designer of e-Sword, Rick Meyers, for example, has been continuously developing the methods he uses in e-Sword, to produce the text in readable formats, since he first began his hobby in January 2000. He began with English, expanded to Spanish, and there are now 29 different options of different languages, including Swedish, which can be selected to view the basic template which provides access to the text which is useful for Bible Study, in the language in which it was provided by the module creator.

Meanwhile, since the year 2000, the computers used to run e-Sword have evolved in different ways also. They are not coded in the same way any more.

I suggest that you explain carefully what type of computer equipment you have access to, and what programs you have available, and exactly why you need to reverse engineer the content of a particular module, which provides the message of the Holy Bible New Testament, in Swedish, in a format that a Swedish literate person can read, but which you want to decode from the view of the machine code that was used by a particular company at a particular time in history, on a particular machine, running a particular type of application. Rick Meyers will be the best person to contact in this regard.  Contact him at: rick@e-sword.ne

Kamau Mweru,
I have not tried to use the Database Browser SQLite with the Bible Support utility Tooltip NT yet to take a Bible apart and add additional notes, and cross-references, linked to particular words in the verses.</p>

APsit190 has “Computer Science: e-Sword and Databases. Part 1” in April 2012. This is filed under Bible Support >  e-Sword Users Forum and Support >  Tutorials and is at:

http://www.biblesupp...tabases-part-1/

(3 pages of notes and comments)

with “Computer Science: e-Sword and Databases. Part 2”

at http://www.biblesupp...tabases-part-2/

(3 pages of notes ad comments)

Another file: “How do I make a pdf into a refx?”

At http://www.biblesupp...df-into-a-refx/

In 2016 e-Sword was updated to supply the coding of modules in HTML format instead of RTF format. The data is loaded into a SQLite type database file.
There are three Swedish Bibles available, on the e-Sword download option. I noticed that when using e-Sword for PC version 12.2.0 that the download

“Swedish”, Swedish Bible, Published 1917 public domain, cuts off part of the content at the end of Psalm 46. It does not want to copy verses – Error 20058. Unexpected Text Control error. (1-1d03)

Perhaps the author forgot to end the verse with “Enter”.

Sela.

and “Swedish F98”, has a similar problem,

Sela.

both with download date 2016-06-17,

“Swedish FB15” has a download date 2016-06-18 and provides a similar error to “copy verses".

Psa 46:11  "Bli stilla och besinna att jag är Gud, upphöjd bland folken, upphöjd på jorden."

Psa 46:12  Herren Sebaot är med oss, Jakobs Gud är vår borg. Sela

And in Parallel has “11  "Bli stilla och besinna att jag är Gud, upphöjd bland folken, upphöjd på jorden."

12  Herren Sebaot är med oss, Jakobs Gud är vår borg. Sela

Perhaps the author forgot to move off the verse with “Enter” at the end of the verse.

In comparison to the KJV, the Swedish splits the heading and verse 1 into 2 verses, thus having 12 verses in this chapter.

However, on another laptop, using e-Sword version 13.0.0 they then display Psalm 46:12 correctly. Rick Meyers must have fixed some parameters between e-Sword version 12.2.0 and version 13.0.0
