TX27_WND.DLL of a Text control dll is also used for the TooltipTool program so try to install the last edition

http://www.biblesupp...ooltip-tool-nt/

The file is in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 on my computer

Yes Katoog, the same here....but I could not get the file to associate with eSword.

I did write Rick about this issue, but I did the same thing while trying to install  v11.2.2.  I am totally stumped, unless the Text Controller isn't working at all and this Bible App is the only hint to the problem?  Is that probable - I have a lot of software on my machine.

I did just cleanse my machine of all seldom used software -- I keep backup installers, so pulling software isn't the end of the world.  Last weekend I did a complete disk maintenance on a 1T hard drive, took about 4-5 hours.  The computer only found about 4-5 minor errors, nothing serious.

I'm wondering if I have some esoteric network issue going on; I'm using a modem/WyFy for connection to the Internet....the little squirrel in the box isn't very strong.

“For want of a nail, the shoe was lost.
For want of a shoe, the horse was lost.
For want of a horse, the rider was lost.
For want of a rider, the battle was lost.
For want of a battle, the kingdom was lost,
And all for the want of a horseshoe nail.”

Try some of the suggestions here. There was a similar problem for the 11.2.2 installation.

Also, make sure your operating system is updated first. Also set the option in Windows Update -> Advanced Options.. to Receive updates for other Microsoft products when you update Windows.

Do this step first and restart your computer.

I  have tried all the suggestions from both Rick and others on this site and I am still having to use 11.1.0 as I have not been able to update since that release.  Would really love for this issue to be resolved so I can move to 12.0 sometime soon.

Have you tried Control panel uninstall of T4 and e-Sword... reboot and install e-Sword 12

Tried to reach you on chat but I think you went underground just as I posted.

Bill,

Don't know why you're experiencing that problem as I had no issues with installing version 12.

Installed 12.0, however when attempting to run the program I get the following error message and cannot open the program:

"The file TX27_WND.DLL has not been found. (Code 0x000000c1)

I have sent this info to Rick, but if anybody has any ideas I would appreciate hearing from you.

Bill,

Go into your Windows explorer, and copy that file name, and paste it in the search thingy in explorer to see if its in  C:\Windows\SysWOW64.

If its not there, let me know, and I'll send you a copy.

Blessings,

Stephen (Php 1:21).

Bill, since you have been unable to update for quite some time, I would hope that Rick would be able to reach out to you to get to the bottom of this. He could for example use something like Team Viewer to have control of your computer to be more informed about your system. I suggest you contact him with this suggestion.

Stephen,

That .dll file is on my computer in that directory.  It is dated 3/19/19 so I am assuming it is current.

Jon,

When I reached out to Rick he said that in the 11,000 installs only 2 people have reported this issue.  I don't think that this is a high priority for him.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions on this issue for me.  At this point my frustration level has been reached and I will just stay with 11.1.  If this issue ever gets resolved let me know.
