e-Sword version 12.0 change log

New Low Light display setting to make viewing the text easier on your eyes.
New App Themes to further customize the e-Sword interface to your liking.
Hundreds of refinements throughout the app, including a rebuilt STEP Reader, improved Resource Options dialog and bulk printing/copying of Journal Notes in date ranges.
__

First immersion after an update:
the problem with the (Greek NT INT+) module is fixed by using five words in a row.

The tap separation for the Bibles is now highlighted and smaller and framed (so the problem with many tabs and some are gone is fixed).

The Peshitta module(right to left script) has a problem with seeing the whole Bible verse number (for example Mar 15 has Mar 1 for Mar 15:1, Mar 15 for Mar 15:2)

e-Sword version 12.0 is less compatible than e-Sword 11 for searching with old BBLX modules in Greek and Hebrew.
I recommend that we in Biblesupport uploading modules in Apple format as default and older e-Sword 9 or 10 modules as extra.
Because the older module format is less and less supported.

The grapheme æ of Cæsar for "King James Bible: Pure Cambridge Edition" from Matthew Verschuur (KJB:PCE) is now searchable: if you convert it into a BBLI module.
Also is the real apostrophe in Cæsar’s is now searchable. See Mat 22:21

Is anybody else getting an error after installing e-Sword 12?  I had to go back to 11.1.0 to access the program.

Tried to install the latest version of Apple converter but got told it would not install as I did not have E-Sword 12 installed. Seeing that we have some problems with the new E-Sword update will just have to wait a bit.

Below is a video of the new version.

Just a bit of a warning: Just be careful that the excitement contained in this video just might be contagious and could have an effect on you. LOL.gif

Tried to install the latest version of Apple converter but got told it would not install as I did not have E-Sword 12 installed. Seeing that we have some problems with the new E-Sword update will just have to wait a bit.

Since installing e-Sword 12 I played around with it, and had no problem or issues with it. That said, this is merely my own experience, and recognize the fact that others will  experience will differ from mine.

I think that if you actually downloaded and installed this new version of e-Sword, you're not gonna want to go back to the older version despite that you may find some niggly type of issues. Tell ya for nothing, Dave, this version is a real doozy. I gotta say, I seriously love it, and really think that Rick out did himself on it big time.

As seen in the video, my initial reaction was "What! What! What!" Then had to exit an reboot e-Sword just to see if what I saw was real, and then reacted again with "What! What! What!" Just about everything I've seen in this version, I seriously liked.

Major tidy ups in this program that make it a whole heap better to use. And perhaps the best example of this is with the Resources dialog. That said, I think that poor old Josh Bond is going to be a very busy boy having to update the e-Sword User Guide so that it reflects the changes made in this new version.

Just a bit of a side note on this. It was in e-Sword 10 when the last major changes were made, namely that of being able to have graphics added to the Text Editors, and included graphics (images) in both Dictionary and Commentary resources. So, with the changes made in this version I would have to say that really seriously builds on and compliments the changes made in version 10.

Trust you will find this helpful to you.

Blessings,

Look, If anyone has an issue with the installation of e-Sword, Rick Meyers would appreciate knowing about it directly. The feedback form is on his site https://www.e-sword.net/feedback.html

Installed 12.0, however when attempting to run the program I get the following error message and cannot open the program:

"The file TX27_WND.DLL has not been found. (Code 0x000000c1)

I have sent this info to Rick, but if anybody has any ideas I would appreciate hearing from you.
