Hi, Im developing a C# Application to import e-sword bible (raw) modules.
When I open the zip file, I find a directory with ztext which is compressed UT8 text, but I cannot open the text, or seem to extract the text.

Please help.
The .bzs, .bzv files how do I uncompress them and extract text

From what I found, the format of the file is proprietary. In the past I have used the tools provided such as mod2vpl.exe to export Bible data to verse per line file. Even this was not easy. I recall having to install Sword and then configure folders to contain the module and the module config info.....

There is a repository of source files in C++

Look here http://sword-dev.350...-td4435584.html

and some notes here as to the format http://crosswire.org...biblecs/svn.jsp

Ztext is the format used by the Crosswire Bible Society as part of The Sword Project. ztext modules are not compatible with e-Sword however there is a program called Simple Bible Reader that can easily convert them for use with e-Sword.

Here is the link to download Simple Bible Reader:
