Hello

I use a number of bible versions for my bile study. Is there a way to enable highlighting across the bible versions such that if I highliht a particular verse on one version (e.g. KJV) it highlights on all my bible versions? Without this, the next time I am using a different bible version, I wont see the highlight.

From programer viewpoint:

To do this need you modules with data; because Bible translations are different in literalness, word-order, synonyms and interpretation, textual base and most translations lacking italics for added words.

Modules with embedded Strong-numbers or lemmas is a solution and you need also an extra number if the same word(Strong-number or lemma) is in the verse more than once.

Some Bibleprograms supporting embedded text but modules with embedded text are rare.

On iOS versions of e-Sword, whole verses can be highlighted and they span all translations.  I wish that were available on the PC version, but it is not at this time.

Yes it would be great to have Highlighting across Bible versions & additionally a quick secondary highlight color select button, to highlight within highlighted text, without having to constantly change option. A quick delete highlight option would also be welcomed.

My suggested workaround thus far for highlight across Bible versions, is to select the verse I highlighted within & make a general study note like i.e HL [Highlight]. This will underline the verse in ALL Bible versions & one could then switch over to the Bible version you regularly use for Highlighting. Though to prevent confusion, one should then stick to only highlight in one selected Bible version.
